1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. I still have all my boxes to everything that I bought for Candie... ^_^

    2. I keep decorated boxes but not boring standard ones. There was nothing special or useful about them, so I don't miss them. But the decorated ones are too pretty to throw away :kitty2

    3. Yup! I keep my boxes just in case I need to pack the dolls up for any reason. It's also handy just in case I ever decide to re-home my dolls in the future, so the new owner can have the original box as well.

    4. I have the original boxes for all of my dolls sealed in plastic in our cellar. They do take quite a lot of room but the boxes were very convinient when we moved a year ago.

All of the dolls were packed into their boxes for the moving day, but we didn't let the moving company to move them, instead my husband drove all the resin kids to our new apartment. The poor dolls had to remain in their boxes for a month when I was unpacking all of our furniture, books and clothes, thus they seemed very grumpy when I finally unpacked them.

    5. For sure. I keep her inside it so she's always safe, I still have the silk pillows and everything. I would never get rid of the box...plus the old Dollmore boxes have the most beautiful illustration on the front c:

    6. I try to keep my boxes for moving dolls when I've had to and to store them in if I ever need to for extended time periods. I also think they are beautiful :) Unfortunatly they do take up a lot of room so I have thrown them away in the past. Right now I'm only missing a box for two dolls. One is because the doll was shipped without a box and the other I bought second hand from Tibet and he was shipped unstrung to save on shipping :D

    7. I kept most of my boxes, however, they took a lot of spaces and I throw the Custom House boxes in the end...

    8. Yes i keep all doll boxes

    9. Exactly this! Both my dolls were secondhand, but their boxes are in perfect condition and even still have the foam, so they're excellent to pack the dolls away for company. Also, the Minifee boxes are this gorgeous shade of forest green that match well with my room, and spacious enough to house the doll with one full outfit and accessories. Useful! Is there a way to turn them into comfy beds while still maintaining storage capacity?

    10. I have seen someone from Taiwan who put two boxes together and made the bed cover, pillows and blanket for the dolls!!! It was amazing!!!

    11. I do. I used to use it to store my boy and his clothes in. It sits in my room now, but I can't bring myself to throw it out. It looks nice~

    12. I keep my doll box simply because it's easier to cart him around when I take him places and when it's too hot/humid, it saves him from evil florida sun.

    13. I have them thrown in a pile in the corner of my room. Eventually I'll clean that corner out and recycle the boxes.

    14. I keep all my boxes, I need them for travelling, moving and selling. I have a huge pile of boxes in my room :)

    15. :sweat I'm a storage lover. If it can hold stuff, I probably keep it. I have a large collection of Alice in Wonderland in my room.....and under it is the large collection of AiW boxes. Some were too pretty to get rid of, others held something very expensive, others...were a nice shape.

I only have one doll that came in her box, and I never even considered throwing it out. I propped up one of the pillows and tucked a scarf in and my doll is sleeping in there with her sister as I type. I took the box cover and put the top box in it at a bit of an angle, as well, which made it more "bed-like" and less "box-like". My other dolls are OT, and only came in little bags :C I was unreasonably upset about that.

I also keep shipping boxes and bubble wrap and tissue paper and you never know *_* In fact, I just sold a bunch of things and I was so ridiculously happy I got to validate my hoard of boxes ^_^

    16. Hellswarmglow ^^ When I tipped the top box for my dolls bed in the bottom box (hard to explain) it created a biiiig storage area underneath where I now keep stuff.

    17. I keep it to store my doll in when I leave home for long periods of time. (5+ days)

    18. I have kept all but one and that particular one was damaged. Having looked at some of the other posts I think I may try and make a bed using them :)

    19. my doll came in a nice box i don't think i'll ever get rid of it. it has a bubbly wrap that looks like a thick air mattress, it protects her very well and i think is great for transportation :)

    20. I always, always keep them.
I store other things in them whilst the doll itself isn't in the box (restringing tools, my airbrush and just other things not related that are laying around). Plus it's always good to keep them incase you ever wanted to sell a doll on :)
