1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. I kept my box, but I stored my doll in a box I made that was cute and looked like a little bed. But I have a tendency to keep boxes for a lot of things if they are expensive items, don't know why. >.<

    2. Aw yeah, I keep my boxes! It's where I store the dolls while they're not in play (as well as some of their garments). I even keep a tiny paper packet of special mementos in one of the boxes.

I might as well mention that two of my boxes are like pieces of art and I like them on their own merits. Plus the box that belongs to my first doll has a lot of nostalgic value.

    3. I only own a Bobobie they come with very plain boxes but I decided to keep it just in case i move or ever god forbid have to sell him to make money.

    4. Yes it is sad to say I have all of my doll boxs. I think that I am going to have to rent a storage space to keep them all. Help stop the madness. LOL:?

    5. As I only have one box so far (One of the blue Bobobie boxes) I've kept and am currently keeping my doll's clothes in it. :3

When I do accumulate more boxes I will still keep.

    6. I...I use them for my books. I just place them on their side and put my books in them. Since I have a nice sized jewelry box for my boy's accessories and stuff, I use his box for other means.

    7. My boy usually stays in his box most of the time. The only time I will ever take him out is if I'm fixing his wig, taking photos, or doing a faceup for him. I have this fear that he will turn banana yellow if I keep him out too long ^^;

    8. Yes, I keep the boxes. I'm pretty obsessed about them, in fact. If I can't get a doll's box, I may even consider not getting the doll at all and waiting for another one which has the box as well (when buying secondhand).

    9. I plan to keep my doll boxes, no matter how many I may end up having. I like keeping boxes...especially nice ones.

    10. I've only got two which are MSD size, but they are still rather sizable! I keep them and the packaging because I'm saving to move and want to make sure the little ones are safe and snug so they don't get damaged during the process.

    11. I keep them yes, all my doll-stuff is in them and when my niece visits my dolls are put away in them

    12. I do try and keep my dolls boxes if I can. They are just nice to have in my personal opinion because I typically like to keep whatever comes with a doll. Currently I have a doll box or two under my dresser in a little crevice underneath and in my closet. ;)

    13. I keep the boxes as well, for storage or resale value as needed

    14. i keep all my boxes i keep my dolls in them

    15. I keep my girl in her box when I'm not playing with her.. I would love to have a box made for her in the future.. I like them better in a box because It like opening a gift each time.

    16. yes, i always keep my boxes. before i collected BJD i collected (and still do) anime figures and i also keep every box from my figure collection (although i store them folded in a cupboard). the box is part of the memory/good feeling about having a doll, throwing it away seems wrong. plus, boxes are useful!

    17. I bought a second hand dollie, she did come with a pillowed box-just not her own. I plan to keep it, or should i try to hunt down a matching box for her?

    18. I currently keep my doll boxes, because I don't have a travel case, so when I take my boys with me anywhere I take them in the box.

    19. Well I kept the brown bag my doll came in and don't ever want to throw it away as for the actual cardboard box that I threw away the first day I got my doll with no remorse either

    20. I would keep the box and make a bed for him. You can put your dolls on display 24/7 its harmful to them. So when there not with you keep them in the box for safe keeping :)
