1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. I wanted to share this picture with the community and this seems like the best place for it ;) This weekend the hubby and I decided to reorganize our office closet, where all my 25 dolls' boxes were crammed in very creatively (seriously, it's like tetris!) In order to reorganize, break down, stack, nest, and otherwise reduce the clutter of my doll boxes, I had to first pull them ALL OUT. I hauled them all to my living room where they took up pretty much the entire floor space.

So here is what a stack of doll all my boxes look like:

I manage to reduce them down by about 5, through clever stacking and nesting. Still, it was hard to get them back onto the upper shelf of the closet. And I have one more incoming! If anything is encouraging me to not buy any more dolls, it's that I have no where else to put their boxes. I dread moving O.O

    2. So many people kept their boxes on the shelf of closet, so do I! And would have to take them down sometimes to clean off the dusts...*_*

    3. my boxes have been sitting behind my drum kit since i've gotten them, i've had nowhere else to put them, and this way theyre out of the way

    4. For years I'd been living in apartments, where chances were I was going to be moving soon. That, or I just didn't have the space. So most of my boxes got tossed. It's only recently I bought my own place, so I don't have to worry about moving or space so much. The few boxes I do have are hidden under the couch in the living room.

    5. I cant stress the importance of keeping your boxes in good shape enough. If you want to keep the value of your dolls, then make sure the boxes are kept well also. If you are pushed for room, carefully disassemble the boxes and lie them flat in between two pieces of cardboard or foam sheet that is slightly larger than the boxes to protect the corners. You'll thank me for this one day, I promise.

    6. I only keep the nicer ones and they live on top of my wardrobe. The rest plus the outside boxes go in recycling after my dog has a wonderful time pulling them apart for me (see pic) :)

    7. I keep them under my bed... Almost everything ends up under there! My room is so small, almost like one of those small Chinese apartments that you read in the news... Yeah..... Hopefully when I move out in a few years I can have a BIG room all to myself and my dolls lol. :)

    8. Haven't received my first doll yet. But when she arrives I think I will keep it up high on the top shelf of my wardrobe.

    9. I keep my doll boxes on the top shelf of my closet. I try to keep all of the boxes for delicate, breakable items in case of a move. It kind of bothers me that two of my dolls don't have boxes, being hybrids that arrived in pieces. XP I'd like to find something safe to keep them in.

    10. In my 1-bedroom apartment, I have 37 dolls and 35 boxes. ;; Luckily, my apartment has damn good closet-space, so all of the boxes are stowed away in 2 of my closets. Along with my obsessive collections of shoes & dramatic coats. Damn good closet-space. Saving grace.

The boxes can all fit in the closets, so the place looks tidy when company comes over. But I have fallen into the habit of keeping 6 of the largest boxes stacked in my living room-- I use them as a photo-stage! I have back problems, and I am fairly tall, so I built up a nice stage that's high enough for me to pose my dolls on, and to catch the best light, without having to bend over. Three EID boxes, one SID box, a Mecha Angel box and an SD17 box inside its shipper. :XD:

    11. My boxes live under my bed, because that's the only place I thought they wouldn't get damaged.

    12. My loft is almost completely filled with my doll boxes!!!!! PS Kavarr your dog is gorgeous!!!

    13. That is such a pretty/cool bookcase Q~Q

Mine are under my bed~ I keep them because if I ever move or are travelling I place them back inside of it.

    14. I'm building a multi use table! I'm 2/3 Done!! Once the table is finished the 6ft x 3ft surface will display my dolls and the cabinets will store stuff in! And it has adjustable shelves! And a drawer! So far just 1 drawer but i might add more....

This pictures a little old now. That cubby space holds 4 - SD doll boxes and 6 - MSD boxes plus boxes for Floating Heads and Books!

    15. I keep my MNF boxes in my closet and my Zuzu ones on top of my glass case! I don't think I could ever throw them away... They're too good for travel and since my living situation isn't permanent, I need them!

    16. I keep mine crammed under my bed, it is the only place I have room anymore.:sweat I do have one on my dresser with my dolls that I converted into a bed for the little vignette I have for them.

    17. Your bookcase is so pretty!

Anyway, I plan on keeping my box safely under my bed. Out of sight, out of mind lol

    18. I keep my doll boxes all over the place, Nero, Jessica, Apollo, and Mei's boxes are under the dresser/vanity I use to store their props in and display them on while Aria and Hoshi's boxes are under my boyfriends bed. Poor little Aurora didnt come with her own box.

    19. I store them atop my bookshelves. Only place where there is room for them xD

    20. Attic to the rescue. Comparing to huge himstedt boxes, bjd boxes are nothing.
