1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. I always kept my boxes either in the closet or on a higher shelf. My dog loves boxes to much for me to feel secure about storing them any lower. :doh

    2. I also put my dolls in the bookcase. And sometimes I take them out to the front yard to breathe some fresh air.

    3. Right now I have my only box in top of my dress-keeper...I Hope to have my next box in the bookshelf (in my new house) :D

    4. I kept my doll box just sort of... lying around. o3o Well, because at first, I kept my doll in his box, so I just set the box wherever I happened to be working with him. Usually, he sat on my desk chair or the floor of my room. XD But, I recently had to move, and I couldn't pack the box... I still have it, just lying around in my room in my old house... but I think in the future, I'll throw them away to conserve space. Having my boxless here has made me realize that I much prefer having him out and seeing him all the time, anyway. ^^

    5. I put all the boxes under my bed. Lol, it's easier if I decide to hide things from people too. They don't go looking under my bed cuz it looked so creepy.

    6. i have 3 doll boxes and they are in my room all is on the floor untill i can get them a better place :P

    7. I've only got three boxes so far ... two of them (a doll box in its shipping box and a "bare" doll box) are on top of a shelf ... two shipping boxes (one of them full of packing stuff, peanuts and bubble wrap) are standing on the floor covered in a tablecloth, but those will probably end up in the garage. The "missing" doll box is serving as a bed on my doll shelf / display. :) There's a tutorial how to make a bed from the doll box (basically how to sew a fabric cover for it), but I'm too stupid for the search function apparently :|

    8. I put mine in a closet... back bottom or on the top shelf

    9. I don't, well not many anyhow. The resin BJD ones I've gotten so far were not that attractive. They were beat up from travel and reeked of new resin. The green sleeping bags I just washed them and now they are fine but the boxes I tossed. I never keep a lot of boxes actually unless there is something I really like about them or find useful I usually do get rid of them. At the rate I collect all kinds of dolls I would soon have no room for me in my house if I did not. I have about a dozen fancier boxes from 16" dolls that I really like and keep just to use as storage boxes for stuff and as displays when I need them, but otherwise they go out with the trash. The few I have are in vinyl cubes on top of my bookcases.

    10. My pukifee box is on display because it's cute and small, but my mnf box sits in my closet. :p

    11. One box is inside a closet along with my sister's doll box. Unfortunately, there's no room for a third so the last box is just on the ground nearby. :sweat I considered getting rid of the boxes so the shelf in the closet could just be a space for the dolls and their stuff but I like having them as a sort of bed for the BJDs.

    12. Leah's is made up as her bed (with the pillow as a mattress) and she often sleeps or just sits on it, hanging out. I keep it to the side of my bed. When I set her up for sleeping pictures, I close the box and put her bed on top of it, but most of the time the lid is under the smaller side and her mattress/pillows/blankets are in there.

    13. I kept them under my bed because it's better Place under there to have them.

    14. I keep them in a walk in closet. So many boxes filled with clothes, wigs, shoes etc. I'm always getting newer/nicer boxes for clothes and accessories then rearranging things.....then back into the closet. I'm thinking of building a shelving unit for all that stuff...like a little armoire....

    15. I would put mine in the closet or turn it into a little change room for them.;)

    16. I keep all of my dolls in the living room, either sitting on my sofa or their own chairs. I usually keep my heavy curtains shut so not too much sunlights get in.

I have 10 boxes, I snuck 9 of them under my bed and 1 into my closet. If I am to get any new dolls, there will be no more extra space for the doll box.

    17. I also keep my boxes under my bed, I will see what I will do when there is no more room down there xD

    18. My room is small so I keep all of my boxes in my closet. I keep the boxes within the boxes they were shipped in so they don't get bumped around and damaged.

    19. I have two under my bed (full of doll clothes and wigs) while the others (empty) are just upstairs in storage.

    20. In the attic. Comparing to HUGE boxes from Himstedt dolls (37" dolls), boxes from BJDs seems so small and portable.
