1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. I have kept all the darned boxes with the pillows and foam they contain. Some do have dolls stored in them but most are empty.

I have some stored inside plastic bins to keep them perfect. They do tend to take up a great deal of room but somehow I feel I need to keep them. I only have one doll without a box and that's because I bought the body second hand without a box.

    2. I've kept Emma's Dollmore Box, but I don't think I have a need for Stephen's BBB Box - after all, he came with a full-sized doll bag, so I think I could probably keep things in there if I really needed to.

    3. I used to keep all my boxes but they took over. I finally got rid of most of them and darn if I didn't one.
Sometimes I will keep them just to use a prop. Cover them with fabric for sitting shots. Build them up and
      the become stairs, etc.

    4. I keep all of my dollies box, since they're in when I don't play with them. :)
And it's safer to keep them if I need to move out hehe...

    5. Yes, we have a shed and all of the doll boxes are out there in the shed. All of the pillows are on a shelf in our closet but that is getting a little out of hand so I may have to figure something else out for them. Eventually the boxes in the shed will get out of hand and then I don't know what I will do but for now I feel better with them there. Never know when I will decide to sell a doll or need to move.

    6. I have kept my doll's box because it's the only really safe place I can store her. I don't let her sit out much because there is a lot of sunlight in my bedroom. Also, she is in danger in the rest of the apartment because of a cat and a roommate who is scared of dolls. I unfortunately have her in close quarters with another doll though because he was a hybrid and didn't come with a case. I would like to build them sturdy ones if possible though!

    7. My pukipuki's box doesn't really take up space and I put her in it when I take her with me so she doesn't get damaged.
If I would have a larger doll, I would also keep the box; I like my dolls to be complete in case I might have to sell them. And this also includes the box.

    8. Yes, all of my dolls stay in their box. I always open the curtain, and the sunlight is so strong. Also I have a dog, so It won't be safe to leave them in the room.

    9. I do, they are all in the loft. I keep them incase I need to box them up if something is going on with the house, like a refubishment, that helps a lot to keep them safe.

    10. My 2 Unoas and my SD stay in their box. But the Latis and the PKF are in my room because they don't take lot of place :) . I also have a dog, so It won't be safe to leave them in the living with him .

    11. I keep all of my doll boxes. I don't suppose it's really necessary, but I keep them anyway. If I rehome someone, they can travel in style :)

    12. My all dolls are sitting on the table. I don't have a dog or a cat. So they are safe. I don't even have space to keep them on their boxes. When I started this hobby and I had 2 dolls then they were in their boxes. Cause they were small msd size. But now I have 1 sd and 2 coming so I don't want to keep 2 dolls on the boxes and the rest out of the box.

    13. I have a couple of doll boxes right now, their original owners[dolls] have been sold though. The reason why the boxes didnt go with them is because the boxes are heavy and the sellers didnt want to pay extra money for the dolls to be shipped in their heavy[=expensive] boxes. They prefer to spend less and they dont really need the boxes anyways, I guess. It's good for me though, I like keeping default boxes nowadays XD And I feel abit sad if my dolls dont come with their original boxes[though it's expensive to ship a huge box!]

They do take up alot of space though...

    14. I use a padded bag that i made for them.

    15. I keep all my boxes, I have a 4 bedroom house with a full basement so storage isn't an issue.

    16. I tend to keep all my dolls clothing in his box, like a little house...I definitely kept the pillow he came with though!

    17. Ha, I store my doll and all of her accessories in or on her original box! I used to have a bed, but my sister threw it out. Even then, though, I still kept her in her box.

    18. I kept the box from my boy. :sweat I can't just throw it out orz;;;; Such a good memory with that box from when my boy finally came! Then again, I also keep all the boxes from my figures too. :sweat

    19. I've kept pretty much all of my doll boxes because if we ever get to move house, I'd prefer them to be safe within their specially designed packaging. All stacked on top of the wardrobe though so it looks pretty unsightly.

    20. I sure do! I keep 'em all -- and if a doll doesn't happen to come with a box (like my FDoll), I either keep their outer shipping box or make 'em one! :)
