1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. I'm a doll box hoarder.. I feel like if I throw them away, then I will eventually need them for something.. Plus, they hold onto the memory of when I recieved each of my dolls. It helps me remember, even though I did take pictures of the box opening.. :)

    2. Every single box. Even though I have absolutely no intention of ever selling any of the dolls, it's part of who they are, so I keep them :)

    3. I only keep a few of them and whenever I run out of space, I throw away the ones I don't need.

    4. I've kept all my boxes except for my Lusion box. It's huge and the cardboard is not very heavy and it pretty much collapsed onto itself. I threw it away. Hope I don't regret it but just wasn't an easy box to store. Jillian

    5. I still have my doll box(s) xD I would and will never throw them away just because I love my dolls and its a part of them :)

    6. I kept most of the bubble wrap that wasn't torn up, the box, and all the little extras. They are sitting up in my attic since I figured it is the driest place. I'd be hesitant to put it in the basement since military housing has a tendency to flood. I would not keep my dolls in a box. I got them so that I could play with them.

    7. I keep all their boxes, pillows, and some of the plastic wrap if I can. I have a little pile of boxes in my room. I really should find a better place to store their boxes though. :p

    8. I always keep my doll boxes.
For me it's the safest way to store and move them if ever need be.

And for me personally, when buying a full doll I do place value on the doll box.

    9. I only keep the pretty ones. Like my Mono's green and my Dia's silver box. There's usually just some pillows in there, and I also use them to store all my doll paperwork. The idea of turning them into beds or sofas had crossed my mind before as well, but since I keep the boys in my closet anyways, there's no point.

    10. 4 dolls thus far, and I've kept the boxes for every one of them :)
May end up getting rid of a couple when I clear out my room though, if I can;t make enough storage space. :/

    11. all of the boxes are under my bed. dolls are in their sofa (with coved cloths) and sometimes sit on my desk, beside my PC. It is glad to see them whenever I want to~

    12. I keep all of my doll boxes! If nothing else, they're a great way to transport your dolls when you're moving.

Besides, let's be honest, there's always the chance that you might have to rehome a doll someday (for whatever reason), and having the box is better than not!

I keep mine in a closet, with all the associated face protectors and bubblewrap inside.

    13. I still have my doll's box (It's pretty) ^^ I keep Ein's clothes and accessories in it under his pillows.

    14. I try to keep all the original boxes that my dolls came in just in case I have to resell. I've learned early on that when a financial crisis strikes, that unfortunately for me, my dolls seem to be the first thing on the auction block. :( Though, if it were up to me, our television would go ahead of the dolls (since I don't watch tv.) (I still have the box for the television too. :) )

I also live in a fantasy world that I might actually get to move someday, and I would need something to transport my dolls in. :P

    15. my soom glot i keep in her box because i move about often and i like bringing her places. also my boyfriend's house is a bit messy and his roommates have quite a few pets so i feel better when she is in her box.

    16. My doll came in just a DHL express box...but somehow, I still can't bring myself to throw it away.

    17. I do keep every box and everything that came with the box - pillows, blankets, face protectors, etc. - I feel like it's part of the value of the doll, and so in case I had to sell them or something happened to me & my daughter wanted to sell them, we'd have all the necessary stuff....I do have quite a few boxes now, though, so the only one that's in my closet is my Iplehouse zippered bag that came with my Soori...all the others are stored in the garage...:)

    18. I used to not, but I do now. Their boxes are all under my bed for convenient storage with their birth papers/cards, and pillows. =]

    19. I save as many of the boxes as I can, which has proven useful for shipping them all over the place whenever I move. But I don't store the dolls in their boxes. I like having my dolls out where they can be seen and played with without having to dig them out from under my bed or from the depths of a closet or anything.

    20. I keep the boxes for my resin BJDs if they came in a box, but I toss all other boxes (fashions, eyes, shoes, etc...
