Which color of hair do you want your doll to have the most?

I think it changes for me over time. For a long time I preferred nearly all of my dolls with light blonde to white hair. Lately, though, a few have switched to being redheads. Sometimes I use fantasy colors, and I tend to prefer greens and blues in those cases.

 

There a quite a few different hair colors in my collection but I usually prefer darker hair colors. I just always liked dark hair better in general and my collection kind of reflects that.
I'd love to have more wavy haired dolls but I have trouble keeping waves from getting frizzy.

 

I prefer shades of medium to dark brown.

 

I'd like to get a wig from dark orange to blind. Curly in a whispy way.

 

I tend to want to give everyone black hair! Literally half of my dolls have it. I don't know if it's a bias because so many people in my family have dark hair or because I love the juxtaposition of light eyes and dark wigs, but there you have it

 

I have found that on a lot of my normal skin dolls that a really light wig really washed them out. The contrast is kinda nice when you go into a red velvet, wine or burgundy coulours. Just have to watch for staining.

 

My "human" dolls have natural hair colors, and the special characters get all the fun rainbow hues I've been tempted to get my siblings some pastel wigs, but whenever I envision them with different hair colors, they look really strange.

 

I started the hobby with mostly blonds and white wigs.

Now I have absolutely fallen in love with fun light or vibrant colored wigs like mint blue, salmon pink, grapefruit orange, and my most vibrant to date is red. I'm looking into adding light greens and violets to my bjds. Also starting to get drawn more to wigs that has two or more colors, especially the wigs that have a soft gradation of color from the root to the tips of the hair.

For me fun colored wigs are more enjoyable to play with and inspiring. I'm sure at some point I'll be owning a rainbow wig that will make me smile every time I look at it.

 

I voted for silver and other colors. I love long, silver wigs especially when a white skin doll wears them. At this moment my only doll has a knee-lenght, silver colored wig and altought I love the way it looks I have noticed it's hard to keep it from looking messy. It seems a wig can be too long even for me (at least this wig can ). I think I'll shorten the wig to waist-lenght because of practical reasons. ^^ Other colours I prefer are pure white and off white.

 

Strangely, I've noticed that recently I've been erring more and more on the side of pastels. I'll have characters who typically had solid white or black hair, and I find myself searching for wigs that include streaks of pastels that I feel suit their characters. Same with my non-real hair colored characters, one boy who is supposed to have deep violet hair, now has a dusty purple wig instead. So far only my red-headed girl has really escaped this fate, but basically everyone else is fair game at this point.

 

Flynn's natural hair color is a carrot brown/red, but she loves wigs and she currently has a light blue one and a bright red one ^^ im working on a chocolate brown wig atm!!

She likes long hair, but its so inconvenient that i just keep her in short wigs lol.

 

I'm always a sucker for light hair, such as pale blond, grey/silvers and white!

 

They're currently all black, white or grey/silver except one which will be kind of a dusty purple-grey. Didn't realize I was so, um, desaturated. I like muted colors with lots of grey in general.

 

I like red hair the best, not too orangey. I have a pony tail from my middle child that is a very beautiful red. I wonder if it is too creepy if I used part of it to (try to) make a wig. I also really like light brown. I have not received my first doll yet, but I did order a light brown wig for her. I am also waiting for a cat doll and well, I don't have to worry because she is bald.

 

I really like pastels and light colors, but recently I've gotten some darker ones too!

 

My character is going to have light gray blue eyes and very dark brown hair. It might be a bit difficult to find the exact color I’m thinking of since shades of brown can look so different on different lighting and might look not quite what I’m looking for in person. I hope it works out haha. I’m more worried about hair texture since I’ve heard curls are more of a pain to take care of than straight hair on a wig, and I definitely prefer curls.

 

I have a pretty even mix: 3 with black hair, 2 with gray/white, 2 redheads, 1 brunette and 1 blonde. I like variety in colors and styles.

 

I tend to go for natural hair colors - blonde, red, black, brown, but that's about as much as I can narrow it down.

 

Going through the list of dolls I hope to one day obtain, I moticed a pattern outbid the dolls I own/have on order, I have a blond with purple streaks, black, black, silver.

The dolls I plan in the near future: black, blond, red, red, probably fantasy coloured, black

The dolls in the distant future: probably burgundy, violet, red, half black half white, blue

I seem to have a lot of hair colours planned, but particularly black. I also just really like the look of red. There's something magical about green eyes and red hair together.

 

I like the color pink, so I wanted my new doll to have it. But, I think I'm going to get my doll a dark brown wig to wear. I feel like the dark brown would look more healthy on my doll and match traditional clothing much easier.
