Which color of hair do you want your doll to have the most?

I tend to prefer either (1) very dark brown, but not black hair, or (2) a very pale silver-blond color. My mother's hair was very pale silver-blond as a child and gradually turned to dark brown by adulthood. Her father's hair stayed that same silver-blond all his life. I had dark blond hair that quickly turned to dark brown by first grade. I think this was a factor in my choices. I like red hair on people, but generally not on dolls. I generally gravitate toward one of three straight styles: very long, or pixie short, or chin to shoulder length blunt cut styles. Those are the same three styles that I have switched between all my life. I usually like straight, not curly hair, but but not always.

My second doll is at the post office, I received a notice this afternoon that I can pick her up in the morning. I have no wig, eyes, etc., for her yet, her head is not attached to her body, as she is arriving in a state to learn face-ups, body blushing. From her sculpt, is she appears to need a very short, even slightly spikey wig, in silver blond shades, and maybe more wigs in a dark brown, short dark curly, and in a pale pink or green. I like several wigs for each doll. They look so very different just by changing the type and color of wig, eyes, clothes. That is part of the fun of it.

It would be great if some day in the future, we could change the color, length, style and curly to straight type of hair we ourselves have just as we can now on our dolls. We can change eye color now. What fun that would be.

 

One of them already has pink hair with a cute design, so she's good to go!

I still need to get my hybrid multicolored fantasy hair. Alice Collections ran out of the wig I was looking for when I ordered (so I just got brown for now), but now that I've had her for almost a couple months I can probably try to either get that one again or a multicolored wig on ebay or something.

I really want a dark brown wig! I think a white/grey wig would be nice too, but dark brown is the priority right now!

Which type and style? (long, short, straight, spiky, etc...)?
Medium length, and wavy, with some nice straight bangs in front I think it would suit my Feeple60 Mirwen really well.

 

I prefer black wigs. I would put them literally on every my doll! xD But that would be boring, so I try to choose multiple colours for them. Recently, I have soft spot for redheads.
As for the style, i like simple ones. And with straight bang.

 

I like to match my doll's hair to match their personality and faceup so it all depends on the doll!

 

Mostly brown and blonde. I never have candy color like wigs because it doesn't fit into their character

I love black hair with blue eyes on boys and brown hair or blond hair with green eyes on girls. They're my favourite!

 

Most of mine are in a tone between white, platinum and blonde! To match my doll's face-ups and skin tones as most of them are pale or even like albino :3

 

For me it's always about contrast; black hair, blue eyes and pale skin look so strange together that it's wonderful!

 

White's probably my favorite, but I love a variety.

 

My favorite color for hair on fictional characters is definitely white or silver. Almost all of my favorite characters are white haired villains. As for dolls, I tend to go with what the character wants, except for Raleigh. His white wig came as part of the full set and I just put that into the character. All I know for sure is that I love long hair, shoulder length or longer is the best and I find it very attractive on men so my male dolls tend to end up with varying lengths of hair like that.

 

I really love natural colors on dolls, though bleach/platinum blonde looks super amazing with pastels

Hm... well, it depends on the doll, for me (but knowing me, I'd probably wind up with a high percentage of redheads...)

Vince is a brunet by default, though he's the most likely to change it up for fun. Pete has white/silver hair, Billy has red, and I'd want Moz to have black hair.

Which type and style? (long, short, straight, spiky, etc...)?
Vince is super versatile there-- his two main wigs are one shoulder length with fringe and one short and curly, but I love him in anything. For Billy, short hair all the way! Pete currently has just the one wig, shoulder length with asymmetrical fringe, but I really want to get him a seriously asymmetrical Phil Oakey type half-'shaved' look...

I would really love for any of my boys to be able to have like a really short, sleek, swept-back look, but those are hard to come by and super outside my price range whenever I do see one... so maybe someday!

 

I tend to prefer blondes and whites because it's the lazy way to not-worry about staining.

 

Honestly I'm a sucker for pastel dolls. I do like red hair though cuz I'm a red head (naturally)

 

I just want my dolls to have pastel hair, specifically pink. I'm in love with pastel colours right now!

 

I don't have much variety in hair colors since half of my dolls are the same person!

Lorina, kid version Ina, and her reincarnation Mariana all have black hair. So does Lorina's daughter Emie. Ilari and kid version Ari have albinism, so white-blond hair.

My next doll, Aletheia (Mariana's big sister,) will be unique in my collection with white hair.

 

A shade on the darker side of medium brown is my favorite for my own dolls, but I absolutely love looking at pastel colors (specifically really light pink, mint or creamy white) on other people's dolls.
