1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Hehe, clothes first!
I wanted to have the option of dressing him up in various styles when he came home. It's your first doll right? It's bound to be plentiful of excitement! :D

    2. I think its wise to get the doll first before buying them their clothes, because he/she might not be as small/big as you think they'll be (oh, believe me, I've been there). It'll be a waste of money when you later find out that they can't fit into the clothes that you bought for them because you misjudge their size.

Unless, of course, its customize to their size, or you buy it off the same company that you bought your doll from and they specify that it'll fit them.

    3. Yes. I buyed 2 wig and 1 pair of wings for 2 dolls that I don't have.. It's for I'm sure that I buy this dolls as next. The wings are limited too. And for the wigs it's because the doll it's the next on list. But I know that isn't the right thing to do.. I think it's best buy the doll before, but I'm so. XD

    4. I always buy my dolls first and after i start to buy many things for her while i'm waiting for her ;-)
      They're spoiled!!!

    5. Since my first, all my BJD got at least their basic clothes and accessories, in most of the cases even their wigs and their eyes, before they arrived or arrived just with them. Some had more clothes and some others less, but none of them had to stay nude. The last of them, for instance, received his first shirt about one or two hours after he arrived home. So I could say Clothes first, then doll, but also Doll & Clothes at the same time. As far as I have to choose only one option, I stick to the last of the three given ones.

    6. I bought my doll with some of clothes, so he has some clothes when he arrived.:)
Then I bought clothes that I think really fitted my image. I think it is a 2 way answer?

    7. This wasn't too hard to think about. I was never really interested in buying clothes for my dolls because i thought AT FIRST that I was getting a limited boy or someone. > <; Now I get clothes first and then dolls. hehe. I find that that is much better, since I hated to take photos w/ a naked boy. lol

    8. Doll deffinetly, although I was sooooo tempted by some clothing.

    9. I haven't even bought a WIG for my doll, and she gets here in a few days. I'm really new to this, so I just feel like I really need to try things on her and also give her a faceup and stuff so I can get a better idea of what will look good and fit well.
And like others have said, I want to make a lot of her stuff myself, and I definitely need her here for that.
      Plus I love her body so much, part of me is reluctant to make/buy any clothes because then I'd feel like I'd have no excuse to keep her naked, hahaha. ;3;

    10. posibly doll and clothes at the same time

    11. I bought my first doll and clothes for him at the same time.

    12. I try to at least buy one small set of clothes with any doll, just so that they don't have to be naked xD
But yeah, one time I bought a doll and got broke after xD For over a month xD and I couldn't find anything good for him :p So yeh, he didn't have any clothes for about 2-3 months *hides in shame* Lucklily he had bathrobes xD so he wasn't naked, but not so far off either ;)

    13. Of course I always buy the doll first, but within days of ordering I make sure to pick out some clothes and shoes, so they arrive before my doll does. Nothing hinders my affections for a doll so much as it being naked on my bookshelf LOL

    14. I bought my doll first, but luckily he came with a shirt. (Even though the shirt was horrific and I hated it on sight. It still gave him something to wear, lol). It wasn't until after I'd gotten him that I figured out where to go with the wig, eyes, and clothes. While I had a base personality in mind for him, everything else kind of came together later.

He was also my first doll, which probably had a lot to do with my newbishness. XD

Even now, I think I would still buy the doll first and then let everything else fall into place afterward. It just makes more sense to me that way. >_>

    15. I bought the doll first before I realized that she would need clothes. And at first almost bought her something to wear but I'm planning on making clothes for my doll so I didn't see any point in getting her anything if I'm going to make them myself. I actually have a dress I'm making right now that is simple for when she does arrive (a simple little one piece dress with elastic on the top XD), that way she isn't totally naked.

    16. If I bought a doll, I think I would buy the doll and then wait a while and buy the clothes or make it. Since my friend thought of making clothes would be good and what-not. Which I think it is but the problem is. I don't know how to sew and do any of that shant. ><

    17. "Doll first, then clothes" although I never actually purchased clothing.

    18. I got the doll and the clothes at the same time for my current dolls.

But I've gotten more confident in my sewing skills. I might just get my next doll buck-naked and tailor his clothes once he comes.

    19. Well, if I cannot buy the doll and the clothes at the same time, I'll get just the doll first. I'd rather end up getting a doll and changing my mind on an outfit rather than getting an outfit, changing my mind on a doll and end up wanting a doll that won't fit the clothes I bought.

    20. I bought the doll first and am in the process of making the clothing.
