1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I purchase the dolls first, then go on the hunt for the fabrics and accessories.

    2. My first doll was bought before her clothes were. My other two had clothes ordered at the same time they were.

    3. When I bought Khairin I ordered a set clothes with him and a spare shirt.. but now after a month and a half of having him I ordered some shirts and pants for him ^__^

    4. I'm doing my best to make sure that everything comes in at once, or that my first doll's clothes and wig come in before her. I don't want her to come home and be Naked!

    5. I bought a TON of clothes. And a wig and some eyes. He ended up wearing none of the clothes and wig, just the eyes. I fail miserably ;3;

    6. The doll itself, but right after I ordered tons of clothes, which are now waiting for their owner to come home... :)

    7. I try not to buy clothes before the doll since I can change my mind abut what doll is coming home next as fast as light (all thanks to Soom and their limited releases usually :| ). I bought a Dollheart outfit in May for a doll I was planning on buying in July but then Soom released Beryl and that all changed. Now my Beryl stole the outfit and claimed it as her own. :sweat

Usually I buy the doll, then about a week before it's supposed to ship I realize that I don't have clothes/shoes/eyes/wigs for it so I go rush shopping for that and pray that it arrives before the doll xD

    8. Technically I bought the doll first, and then I ordered clothes, but the clothes came in before the doll did.

    9. I got the doll first because I make all the clothes mehself! I suppose I've had the fabric for a while, though, since it's mainly leftovers from cosplay or stuff I bought because "This is pretty and I want it and I'm sure I'll think of something to do with it eventually."

    10. I ordered the doll first, but while waiting for him I bought and made clothes... So I guess technically, the doll was bought first, even though the clothing arrived first! lol

    11. I'd rather like to buy doll first but mostly I buy clothes first and than get a doll which fits the exist character.

    12. Personally it'd make more sense to me to buy the doll first and then buy the clothes. What if you have one in mind but then wind up finding yourself bringing another home and the clothes don't fit? Though I suppose I could see buying an outfit or two at the same time as the doll if you have the money to spare. That or you could make clothes while in the waiting period, too.

    13. We'll I'll just go with what I did for 2/3 of my dolls for the poll. XD I bought the Syd and Ernst first and then started collecting their clothes, accessories, and furniture. However, with TyTy, I bought him a hoodie from the marketplace because it freakin' screamed "Tyler" to me. About a week later, I actually bought the body. Now I'm just waiting for it to get home so I can put the hoodie on him and get him some more clothes! Haha.

    14. I got my doll first, and him only, mainly because he was a gift. Ideally I'd like to have bought my doll and an outfit or two at the same time so he wouldn't be naked. :P

    15. well.. i would say clothes first but i haven't bought any [nor do i own a doll and it will probably be a while before i do...] i have a bunch of old clothes and other random materials that should be thrown away but instead are being kept to make stuff for them. and i was starting to make something for him but then my poor sewing machine broke and is currently sitting in a shop waiting to be fixed and rescued. TT.TT but i would definitely make stuff first then get the doll, i wouldn't want them running around nekkid when they got here... my parents might question my sanity if they saw me conversing with a naked doll..

    16. When I first got into this hobby, the very first thing I purchased was a pair of victorian-styled boots.
My poor husband, he knew he was doomed when those little boots came in the mail. ^_~

    17. I already have tons and tons of left over fabric from cosplays, so it's not too strange for me to have stuff to MAKE clothes with. But I'm waiting to actually buy my doll before ever ordering anything. Plus I need her here before I make any clothes, to fit them to her. ;D
That way after I buy the doll I want, then I'll know how much money I have left over and I can get her clothes if I want them! ^u^ However, buying clothes for the doll would be a bit much for me, which is why I can gladly just sew her some!

    18. I had worried about this. I wondered if my parents would chip in for an outfit and the shipping (which didn't happen). I had thought that, if they didn't, I might have to settle for a naked doll for a while until I learn to sew stuff. But I was able to finally get enough money for the shipping, and a very inexpensive dress and shoes. I never saw myself putting so much money into clothes first. To me, it was a naked doll, or a clothed doll.

    19. I tend to always buy the dolls first, then wigs, then clothes. I hate to admit but my first girl wore one of my toe-socks with the toes cut off for practically a year T~T (She looked cute in it at least) Now I generally try to save up and by them within at least the same few months.

    20. The only doll clothes I've bought are shoes :P I love to sew, so I make all my dolls' clothes myself.
