1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I bought my doll as a fullset so I got clothes and doll at the same time....but normally now I order the doll then buy them assesories or have my friends make them clothes as I can't sew worth beans.

    2. Well..Considering I am not able to order my doll yet as I am waiting for restock, I ordered clothes first. Of course I got the entire set and wigs (except eyes and shoes) now and no doll. My family is like "What the heck is this stuff"? lol

    3. First of all, I get the doll. When I bought my first doll, I wanted all at the same time, but then I realized that I need time. I need to have the doll with me to discover his real personality, and then I'll prepare all the things.

    4. When I bought my first doll, I also included clothes, boots, and a wig with her, although I did end up purchasing more clothes from different companies that ended up arriving before her ^^ And since then, most of my dolls are bought along with clothes so that they'd actually have something to wear when they get here.

    5. I bought my dolls clothes first, since they were a limited set.

    6. Both times, I've ordered the doll first and then bought at least one outfit from a different company, although I do love the thought of having a doll arrive that will already have a vast wardrobe.

    7. its been dolls first but clothes while waiting for them to ship.... my latest girl should arrive late this month and i have just commissioned a custom outfit for her ^^

    8. I had the doll on Layaway, so technically he was ordered first, but the clothes came in first. I'd also ordered my doll as a fullset, so I guess I got both at the same time. When I bought a second doll, I also bought a full set, and the ordered clothes as I waited for him to come. My third doll I bought her, then bought some clothes during the two week shipping process it took to get her to me. ^^;;; I'm kind of weird I like my doll to have clothes when they arrive.

    9. I always buy the dolls first and then I promise myself that I won't buy anything until the doll arrives home safely. And I really stick to it - for like two hours. Then I start ordering at least one complete outfit (summer and winter) and one or two pairs of shoes. I love shopping for the dolls, so I prefer not to buy a whole outfit but to buy the pants here, the shirt there and so on.

    10. Well, my first doll was secondhand and he came with a bunch of stuff....so I'd say both at the same time. All my subsequent dolls started out wearing some of these first clothes until I got them their proper attire (actually my boys still frequently share clothes...kinda inevitable, since half their wardrobe belongs to Ezra alone...haha, so he has to lend some of it to the others )

    11. Buying the doll first. I think I want to attempt at making clothes and shoes for him myself. I'm a pretty crafty person so I want to give it a shot.

    12. I know it's generally better to get the doll first to find out the measurements first hand, but I went ahead and ordered both the doll and a little outfit together that way she won't be completely naked when she gets here. I didn't go and buy anything really expensive for her first outfit, just something that will hopefully fit so she will have something until I can make/buy her something else.

    13. If I remember correctly... I think I bought my doll a pair of shoes at the same time as I purchased her.
I try to look around before purchasing a doll, and figure out exactly what I want with it. Due to the cost of shipping I like to combine items as much as possible, and the shoes I got came from the same company as the doll.

    14. I usually try to get at least one outfit for a new doll at the same time as the doll. If I can't find anything from the company that is selling the doll I will usually go hunting at Dollmore or somewhere to order them something they can wear when they arrive.

I have never bought clothes for a doll I haven't already purchased. Not yet. :)

    15. I need to be assured that the doll arrived after a long wait, then get their clothes. I'm just worried if the clothes I picked first might not even be their style and also fear that my package gone missing or something. x_x

So, dolls first, other expenses later.

    16. I'd buy the doll first of course! Most of the time I only have enough money for one or the other and the doll is more important. Another reason is that I might not have any idea what my next doll will be, so it's better to hold off on the clothes, just in case they don't fit when I actually do get the doll.

    17. Right now I'm not sure when I'll be getting my doll, so in the meantime I've been looking for little nick-nacks and such to make clothes and accessories for him. One of my roommates has a doll the same size, so I can use her for guestimations and to model the clothes. Also, I've got a ton of Sculpey clay which I'll be making things for him with. (As well as things for my friend's dolls too as a thank you for her helping me through this whole process!)

    18. I bought my first as a full set. I really didn't know what I was doing so it seemed easier.

    19. Allways doll first. Because they dont need clothes everytime :-D An I can sew something when they arrive :-)

    20. I wanted to start ordering right after I paid for the doll) But then I told mysself I had to wait till he arrived. Ooh it was so painful)))
