1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. i don't have a doll yet ^^* but clothing for them here already, they are selfmade so it could be that they wont fit, but that wouldn't be too tragic.
I just dont want that they have to walk around naked here when they arive. x3

    2. All of my dolls arrived without their clothes, because I am sewing for them by myself and try not to sew before the arrival. I am superstitious :sweat

    3. I actually bought a shirt for my boy first, considering I haven't even ordered him yet. I only bought it because it was on sale at a con for a dollar. Though, I'd been looking for ages at buying a doll, I'd it was the first time I actually decided to buy one.

    4. I used to get the doll and see what happened and now I buy clothes before the doll lol. But for my unoa elder girl I started making clothes, so now I'm going back to first doll then clothes :).

    5. For me its doll first. Though, both dolls I had on layaway so they were never fully paid off when I bought clothes. I just wanted to be ready when they got home, didn't want them naked and wig-less. I just start purchasing and commission for clothes once I start the layaway.. even though the layaway might be awhile.

    6. I do the buy the doll first then build the wardrobe. For two reasons. One being most of the time I find a good deal on a girl or even see the girl I want (A lot of the girls I like are limiteds....:( ) and have to buy them when I see them. The other reason being that I like to get my girls and get a feel of their personality before I start spending money on dressing them. What if I end up not liking the girl? Then I will have to go through the hassle of selling all the clothes and losing money.

    7. For my first doll, I was having trouble deciding the sculpt for a while but knew what size the doll would be. So, when I found clothes, a wig, and eyes I loved... I bought those almost a year before I finally got my boy. Then I started sewing after ordering him but before his arrival. The next few dolls I bought clothes and doll at the same time. Now I've got a little stockpile of clothes to prevent naked syndrome and a stockpile of fabric to sew (plus a stockpile of patterns). I worry more about getting shoes, wigs, and eyes with new dolls nowadays. Then I sew them some special pieces while I'm waiting. There are lots of very forgiving outfits you can sew for dolls even without having exact measurements.

    8. Hm, it's a bit of everything?

My first doll arrived without any clothes at all, mostly because my Dollheart set I ordered back then arrived very late, even though I had ordered doll and outfit at the same time. He was naked for quite a while and that really annoyed me, since then no doll had to be naked anymore.

My second Doll had already a few basic things waiting for him + I ordered two pair of shoes and an outfit from the same shop where I got him...and they forgot to send that outfit with him, haha :'D
For my third I had already bought a pair of pants even before I was sure to buy him.

Nowadays I have enough clothes to dress a new doll at least temporarily. So it's usually a "buying doll, and then start to buy clothes for it".

    9. I ordered doll and clothes @ same time.
But it was.... an unsure thing, because My doll had the new 68 Dollzone Body and there were no clothes I really liked yet. So I wrote to the company, if clothing for 70 cm dolls would fit. I didnt get a clear "yes", they just wrote something like "It may fit your doll". But I simply fell in love with the clothes - and because of the "spring event" in January last year, I got one outfit for free.

And I was very lucky to order those clothes, because they are awesome! They fit him o.k - could be better, but a lot worser at all. Because of the mesurements its not that easy to get fitting clothes - but with a belt in the trousers - its o.k.

    10. Dolls first, then clothes. ^^' I prefer to make my own doll clothing, so sometimes the first doll of a size to come into the house is naked until I can get some free time to work on that. The 1/3 boys can, to a certain degree, share clothes so they don't have to be naked while I'm working on stuff that suits them (although I store them in their boxes naked, so moot point maybe?) I also have a relatively huge collection of shoes for one of my 1/3 boys so they all share those until everyone has at least one pair of their own.

    11. I order the doll, and one or two basic pieces to clothe him/ her until I figure out who they are and what style of clothes they'd wear.

    12. XD technically i bought the clothes first then the doll hoping id get the clothes first so my doll wouldnt be naked but with my luck i got the doll first thankfully Val was a full set so he wasn't nakie but poor Alex was naked for a couple weeks i did make here a wig though

    13. I purchased a full set at the same time as ordering my doll and will likely follow the same pattern for future dolls as well.

    14. I wanted to have the girl since 2008, and I've been collecting doll-sized random stuff since then, but I bought my first real bjd-clothes at the same time with the first doll. Then I started writing on the Finnish forum, buying more clothes on the marketplace there - and the next doll and his clothes. I also bought a MSD-shirt for the first doll's little brother that soon appeared to be SD, but well, they'll get another brother as soon as I have money!

    15. I order dolls and clothes the same time, But my clothes, wigs, shoes come earlier than the doll does usally so. For other accesories like umbrellas and such are usally brought after the doll. :)

    16. I've watched countless amounts of videos and box openings, and knew for sure I didn't want my doll naked for a couple months, so I went ahead and found at least a couple things for her to wear for when she gets here :) plus, everything I got (clothes, wigs, and shoes) were extremely well priced!

    17. Generally, I bought my doll before and I buy shoes, wig and eyes while I'm waiting to receive my doll. But this year I bought a wig for a doll which I can't buy before the end of the year (but on Dollwhy, wigs are quickly sold out so... :sweat).

I don't buy clothes because I prefer make it by myself or maybe ask to a tailor on forum =)
I like buy eyes and wig before my doll. When I got Pandore she was bald xD

    18. I bought clothes twice before I had the doll for them before I learnt my lesson; I never ended up getting the dolls that those clothes were intended for and had to sell them off for quite a bit less than I had bought them for. I'm fairly strict with myself now about not buying anything for dolls that I yet own.

    19. Well for me I enjoy making doll clothes and doll things for my girls. I have lots of material to make things out of. So for me I always buy the doll first because without knowing the demensions how am I gunna make the clothes for them?

    20. I bought the dolls first, which I later realized was a bad idea because when they arrived home they sat around naked while I had to save up the money to buy clothes for them, which was no fun. I wish I could say I've learned my lesson after this, but I still have a bad habit of dolls first, then clothes later. :doh
