1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. With my first doll, I bought him first, then his clothes. With my second, I bought her clothes first. I think it's better to have the doll first though, especially if they're a unique size (50cm in my case) or something. Lots of the clothes I bought for my second doll are too big for her and I feel like it could have been avoided if I had her first to compare to other dolls and stuff.

    2. I got my first bjd doll as the first purchase, and then as soon as she arrived ordered new eyes and a new wig, and boots. Then the whole downhill slide began, as far as my piggy bank being at all full. So much to like and want.

    3. I always fall in love with a doll & then have to play catch up to get them wardrobed! It's always a challenge to say the least!

    4. First is always the doll, but two or three times I started buying the clothes

    5. bought the doll first then the clothes, but i count that as the same time since it was maybe a day apart. however i think clothes should come before dolls so they arent naked when they arrive:shudder

    6. Bought clothes and the doll at the same time. Big mistake because I could have saved a ton on money on etsy for clothes.

    7. I usually buy the doll first, then the clothes come second as I can usually fashion something really quick for the doll while I figure out their personality.

    8. I done the opposite to alot of bjd owners, I brought their clothes and shoes first, but don't worry, I have the right bjd in mind for the characters they are for. Just got to get the money together now :)

    9. I suppose I've seen the merits to both sides. Personally, I always buy the dolls first and see where things go from there, however, my girlfriend found some accessories she really really likes and has been looking for a doll to fit them, but I don't know, I'd rather appreciate something in its own right, I don't like the idea of "shoes to fill."
