1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Dolls first, all the way, although I've always tried to have wigs at least coming with the doll.
It was quite a shock to my system when a certain doll arrived wigless, due to a company error; they sent the wig on quickly. I had no spare wigs at the time, either. *_*

Doll nakedness, constantly, even my most recent body arrival is Nakie! Though I bought him a pair of boxers at a meet, his first.

Though if we're counting cloth which might potentially be made into doll clothes, how many hundred yards does it have to be to count? I've costumed and been in the SCA and adding to my stash for other excuses for many many years.

    2. I bought my doll first.

    3. I really wanted a NotDoll Belladonna first, but was very nervous about spending so much $$ on a doll. I chose an MSD size doll (Dollmore Kid Asha Girl) that was more affordable and had no clothes to come home to. I'm glad I can sew!

    4. ...I totally splurged on fifty-gazillion clothing items for Dashiell before he was even ordered. >>

Of course, since he showed up waaaay earlier than I had expected, he still had a bunch of packages coming for him in the mail after he arrived. My box from dollmore showed up on the same day he did, so he had pants luckily.

    5. I ordered the doll first, but I did buy stuff for her clothes before she arrived.

    6. Oh man. I'd juuuust barely started to put aside clothes for my first doll when Iplehouse decided to have a gift event. I ending up borrowing some money from the household emergency fund and buying my doll two months early to take advantage of it--so when he arrived he had a pair of cowboy boots, a pair of silk boxers, and a necklace.

An interesting look, to be certain! :sweat

    7. Technically, I bought and paid for the doll (fullset sorta- Homme Ducan and outfit) first then bought his clothes after. However, the clothes arrived before the doll.

    8. I bought a hoodie for Ryu before I got him. It showed my mom I was serious about getting him.

Then I ordered him and on the same day ordered from the same company (Kittycapgun:aheartbea ) again.

But next doll I get im ordering her head and when it comes closer to me getting her body, I'm gonna get her shoes first most likely even though I all ready ordered her eyes. :doh

    9. Kittycapgun! Yes, I own a hoodie from there that I love. Great designs and very affordable, too. I can't believe I had forgotten to mention that in that other thread :doh

Anyway, popped in to mention mom is more responsible; she ordered Laurent clothes before he got here, as a birthday present to me ^^ She should be the BJD owner here lol

    10. Kaito's clothes arrived home before he did, because i didn't want him to strut around the home naked :sweat

    11. I usually buy the doll, then find clothes...and sometimes I already have clothes that are perfect for the doll....
With my Narae ghost Spectre..after I had paid her off, I found the perfect ghostly outfit for her on ebay and had to get it, it arrived before her...but it was a perfect match.

    12. I plan on stockpiling some decent clothes for Lishe, since she'll be my first full-size. I don't want her to come naked. I'll do the same for MNF Shiwoo and El. I already have LOADS of Uyoo-sized clothes, due to my Pullips, so she'll have plenty.

    13. I've got clothing for Naota already and he isn't even here yet. I'll probably order some for Touda too. Though they'll likely arrive after he does.

    14. I bought the doll first with her wig and then later on bought her some clothes. The clothes arrived a month before she did.

    15. Fell in love with the outfits first and then the dolls (head mold) who modeled the outfits :sweat

    16. I bought my dolls first. Poor Zera was wearing a bandanna tied as a toga until I found something at the hobby store that sorta fit. Now she has a nice dress though ^.^

    17. Dolls first - I can't really think of a good outfit before I see the doll. Sometimes I have an idea of how dolls will look based on photos, and when I get them their personality and looks are totally different from my idea, so if I had bought any clothes in advance they'd probably be all wrong.

    18. I've bought an oufit for my doll so his not naked when he arrives. But thats about it, i'll buy accessories, wigs, eyes and a real outfit when his here and i can decide from there on.

    19. I didn't buy any clothes in advance because 1; I had no money anyway XD and 2; I didn't want to buy things in case they didn't fit his personality.
Both of my dolls came with clothes ,though, so I didn't have to worry very much about getting clothes right away.

    20. I've bought the doll first. He technically comes with a Dollzone Xmas Event Outfit, but even if he didn't, I wouldn't have bought clothes first. I'm pretty paranoid, and even though he's pretty much MSD size, I want to take his exact measurements before I start making his clothes, so I can make sure they fit properly (shootmeimneurotickthxbi).

I'll probably pick up some fabric once he ships, and then I'll make something quick out of it when he gets here. *shrug* Considering I really don't have a lot to do right now (that's an understatement - I can't do a part-time job because of a wrist injury, and even with all the AP/advanced classes I'm taking in school, academics have sadly become a joke), I know I'll have the time. The cash for fabric and stuff is also already reserved. :)
