1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I bought my doll first because I wasn't sure of how well she fit into already made clothes. Of course as soon as I got her I started making her clothes.

    2. Since one of my girlfriends was really excited over the idea of making doll clothes, I just bought the doll first. It seemed like a good idea at the time until I realized my poor doll would be naked for months on end. :sweat

    3. Well, I used to think I would get a Luts girl, so bought cute Dollheart shoes because I didn't want to miss out on them while I saved.

I am waiting for my Dollmore Bella Auden to arrive and those shoes won't fit. When she gets here, I will try to make her some clothes.

    4. I get the clothes first then the doll, I don't like the idea of them being naked and cold :(

    5. Well umm I haven't actually ordered my doll yet but he'll come naked because I need to have extra cash in case I get hit with customs (hope Luts will mark down to a good amount) but when I do get him I'll order things straight away. My poor boy shouldn't be naked or wigless for too long hopefully ^^;.

    6. I bought clothes while I was waiting for my doll to ship to keep me occupied. Although now I wish I'd waited because I would have bought different clothes than what I did, now that I actually have more of an idea of her character.

    7. ordered my Soo, had an "oh noooo naked dolly" moment, then found some clothes on e-bay, had to start an e-bay account, got the clothes, then doll... bliss :)

    8. It was dolls first, but then while I was waiting I went and bought clothes, telling myself: Ok, limit to only so many pants and shirts. Then, I kinda went crazy and bought everything I liked. Thank goodness everything fit. :sweat

    9. Once I had decided I definitely was getting a doll and had most of the money, I started collecting clothes. For me once they started arriving, it made the "omg I'm ACTUALLY getting a doll" seem a little more real for some reason and made waiting a little easier! ^^

    10. My first doll didn't come with clothes, eyes, or a wig... so I ORDERED her, but while I was waiting, I did buy a couple things for her. I tried not to buy a ton, because I wasn't sure about her personality, and I was really glad I did that... but I didn't want her to arrive and have me literally have NO clothes and not even eyes and a wig for her.

    11. I would order the doll with some extra stuff, maybe a wig or a top. After ordering and paying, while waiting, will proceed to stock on clothes for them, so when they arrive, they'll have clothes! And at least the doll is already on his/her way here <D

    12. The doll's more important than clothes and accesories. I bought my first boy with one set of clothes so I chose the thirs option in the poll.

    13. With me, first the doll, because it took ages to save up for her. I plan on making her some clothes to start with and not purchase clothes for a while due to being broke...

And as a surprise our boy Takahiro arrived as well, so we also made him some clothes.

    14. I get both around the same time. Of course I purchase the doll plus eyes and wig first, but then I get the necessary items right after (usually just some shoes, then to the drawing board and fabric bins I go for clothes).

    15. My doll came accidently to me because Marcia ordered a girl and they send a boy. I couldn't let him go anymore so I bought him.
Takahiro is his name now and I made him a wonderfull leater pants, Marcia made him a t-shirt and a friend gave a very cool jacket for him for my birthday.

    16. I plan on making a lot of clothes for my boy when he comes, so I'd say doll first. Mainly because I'd be devastated if the clothes turned out not to fit, and then I'd have to get rid of them somehow, unless I was willing to wait to see if it would fit my next doll. Which I suppose people could do if they were patient. I am certainly not :P

I don't like to leave things to chance, being a very unrisk-taking (bleh, not good english) person, so I'd rather not build up a stockpile of clothes that don't fit.

    17. I don't have a doll yet, but I have an outfit.

There was an outfit in the marketplace that I thought would look really good on him, so I bought it... Now I just have to buy the doll. ^^

    18. I am planning to order a 60 cm Narin and Narae in the near future. But I already purchased clothing (and plan to make some), wigs, and Masterpiece eyes. These are my first dolls and I am very excited.

    19. I've bought a few basic pieces of clothing already, mostly because I'm an impulse shopper. I might spot something that looks about the right size, and buy it just because I know I'll kick myslef later if I don't. At least this way, when I finally do order him, I won't have to worry about saving up for clothes too! XD

    20. I would buy the clothes first because they are the easiest things to save for. A doll, on the other hand, is kind of hard.
