1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Which of your family members are into BJDs?

Apr 14, 2007

    1. Unfortunately no one that I know is into BJD's, I know a couple who may like them if they were shown however I also know that they would both have heart attacks at the prices! Lol, I'm all alone with no one to support me with my love of dollies :...( haha, just kidding, doesnt bother me :)

    2. My little sister hated them until she realized she could make them into Harry Potter characters, lol.

    3. Haha, oh dear, I mustn't let my sister see that, she too is mad about the potter, she'd steal them before I got them lol  :o

    4. None of them. They like my dolls but they don't want to buy one...yet! I did however spread my love for Blythe dolls to my family. My eldest and youngest sister were sucked in first, followed by my Mum and Auntie and my cousins girlfriend is starting to show a liking too.

My eldest sister has expressed an interest in Peakswood dolls and also in Luts Soo. But she will never spend that much money on a doll as she has my niece to look after and another baby on the way!

    5. Lol. Mad about the potter. xD

    6. The only person that l have in my family is my dad and nooooooo he can't stand dollfies. There are some friends that l have that think mini moon is cute thought.

    7. Absolutely none. My daughter collects dolls with me, but aside from the vinyl BJD she is getting, she really does not like BJDs.

    8. I thought my sister might be into it, but once I explained the one I want is 63cm tall, she kind of got freaked out.

So nobody in my family is into BJDs. My sister is into dolls, but not BJDs.

    9. No one in my family even knows about BJDs, so they can't be against them : D

    10. in my family i'm the only one who is into bjd..
my sister like there look too but for her they are just dolls without big worth..
my parents think that they are too expensive to collect them.. -.-

    11. My mother. She actually just bought her first one. A Custom House Ai Unique Bin doll. And seeing how I'm an only child and she and I are both into the hobby, that boy is going to be spoiled rotten!:3nodding:

    12. I live with just my dad. And he threatened to throw Shoe in the garbage.

I told my mom about them over the phone and she said their neat and pretty, doesnt think they are bad, but shes always broke xD and has my lil bro and sis to take care of so meh. but at least she likes them. xD

    13. One of my sons is Finishing Touch Doll Stands but I wouldn't say he is into BJDs. He likes fooling around with wood, etc and really only cares about a doll if he needs to fit a stand. Everyone else just tolerates me and my affliction.

    14. Sadly no, I'm the only one who's into BJDs, or dolls for that matter. None of my friends are, either. Hah, most of them dont even know about my dollie obsession; just my mom. I dont see it as bad, though, because it makes me unique and sets me apart from the rest. I wouldnt really ever mention my BJD interest to them, they'd just make snide remarks or disregard it entirely.

    15. none
      they think they're possessed. D:
some people just dont appreciate masterpieces

    16. I started the hobby together with my mom. I ordered the first dolls after a year of saving for her. She wasn't really into them then yet. But when we received a boy instead of a girl, she was hooked. She paid for the boy and my girl came in not too long afterwards. That's when we were completely crazy for them.
I don't see my brother ever getting into the hobby, but I was able to drag some friends into it. The rest of my extended family doesn't really get it, unfortunately.

    17. We sort of count; my lovely fiancee' and the other two housemates all have BJD's. Also, my fiancee's little sister (14) lives with us, and we may see her with a doll yet...>.>

    18. Well lets see, I got my grandmother into the hobby, Blackie008, and now she is planning on getting a second doll.

My mom is slightly into the hobby, only she wants to actually make the dolls.

My boyfriend wants a doll. But he thinks it would be weird for a "guy" to have a doll. He also doesn't want to spend that much money on one either. So right now he just messes with mine.

    19. None of my family is into BJD, unfortunately. I'd like to have someone to share my passion with (irl) :(

    20. No one. I showed my mother the picture of the doll I want and she said he was a beautiful doll but got scared when she saw the price. I have not told any of my friends. After I get the doll, give him a face-up, dress him, and all of that I will introduce my friends. I think they will be terrified if I show them the price first; maybe if they fall for the doll and then hear the price it wil be better... maybe
