1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Which of your family members are into BJDs?

Apr 14, 2007

    1. Im the only one in the family into the BJD's, although I tried chatting to my sister about them and showing her a lot of pictures and doll shops she still showed no interest. The only time she sat down with me was the arrival and she helped me dress my doll. Shes more into the pretty clothes they can wear and how cool they look. Someday maybe just someday she will ^^

    2. My Mum has a BJD and is looking into buying more.
My daughter loves BJD's and is always trying to claim mine as hers, so for her birthday she will be receiving her first BJD :)

    3. None of my family are really "into it," but my mom has been unusually interested since we went to a meet last Saturday. Before it, she'd look at them and think I was crazy... But now, she'll point to a doll and say "I like that one. She's cute." That's actually how I decided to get a KD Aru... She looked at the Luts page I was skimming and went "That's such a cute doll!"
I hope to drag her in deeper when I get Aru. Muahaha.

    4. I'm the only one, so far, although I'm not sure what my little sister will think about it. I already know what the rest of my family members think, since I see them more often. I'm sure that once my doll arrives I'll find out; she's bound to see the doll eventually.

    5. None of mine I'm the only one.

    6. My dad looks at me like i am insane. My mother and grandmother like my girl but i know they will never get one. But the best thing is my husband likes them! He likes to talk with me about them and actually listens when i spend an hour discussing the pros and cons of a Soom Sard! He will probably never buy one but he will play with my doll randomly, and he does not care if i carry her around when we go places! He encourages my many hobbies :)

    7. None of mine unfortunately... I'm the only one. ^^;

    8. None yet but sister is mildly interested in them. One day I'll convert her! Lol.

    9. I pulled my mother in - she is on this board as well :D

    10. none of my immediate family are into dolls, my cousin however does love my Ducan and would take him home with her in a heartbet, and she wants to get a BJD of her own, shes in love with luts shiwoo's:D

    11. My sister and I are in this together ^^ She actually got me addicted. And my mom is now joining us with a Souldoll Metal, volks dollfie, and soon a 60cm Obitsu^^; My dad... likes the dolls, and will now be seen in public with them, but he'll never own one, I'm pretty sure. My boyfriend is the same way, but he always liked the dolls^^

    12. None of my family but some of my friends like them. But isn't there a saying that you are family over 6 connections?

      Laoky

    13. Well...just me and my sister :)

    14. My mother also likes dolls - but not BJD's.

I just got my boyfriend into the idea of anthro ones. :aheartbea

    15. After I got my first doll my mom fell in love with her. The more I showed her pics of them all the more she wanted one. She bought a Dollmore Adam Purum Cho and is waiting on another SD Angel of Dream girl. After getting my mom hooked, I moved on to my sister :mwahaha

Now my sister is addicted to ebay and all the goodies you can find on there. All in one month she bought a Serendipity Sharmin, an AOD Roa and an AOD An. Putting all our dolls together we have quite the collection!

    16. Mum and Dad dont get it.
HOWEVER, my younger brother likes my BJD, although sometimes he make inapropriate comments about my doll, though that is to be expected at his age. He thinks its funny that my doll had a penis. But he still likes the BJDs.

    17. I think my boyfriend is already (well, we are family).

He restrung my doll, he's always cuddling her and says something like "it's my doll" or "I'm the one she loves more". Well, I guess I can say we both own that doll

    18. Well it was my Auntie 'Samson' and my cousin 'Allstar' that got me into all of this :D aww i love them for it xx must be in our genes... cos my nan loves dolls too xx

    19. Since my last post #192 on page 10 of this my DIL has joined i the fun. She has 3 Pukis and has plans for a LF Ante so I would say she is hooked as well. Very Happy!

    20. I brought my cousin RIGHT into the hobby first thing I mentioned I wanted a BJD. We were both interested in them for a while, but when I said I was planning on actually getting some someday, she was like "ME TOO."

My little sister, after seeing Daichi, said she wants to get a doll of her own, as well. It'd take her years of saving before she could even have half the money for one, though. XD
