1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Which of your family members are into BJDs?

Apr 14, 2007

    1. None of my family members are :(
      My sister collects Barbies though...

    2. None of my family members are...they don't really understand the obsession but a lot of my friends are. Its always more fun when you have someone close to share things with :)

    3. hi,
      all my nieces love BJD
      it is cool

    4. My mommy. ♥ She's so sweet.
She used to collect Cabbage Patch Kid dolls when she was 20, so she can fully understand that adults having dolls is NOT weird.
I recently showed her pictures of the CH Ange Ai Hani I'm waiting for, and she fell in love. She wants a Tiny now, so I think I will get her one (or maybe a Puki) for her birthday next year (one year from today!).

    5. A few of my cousins really like them, but none of us own any yet :P
My one cousin calls them "angelic" while the other says they're "creepily awesome"

    6. My cousin and friends know about them, but haven't been bitten by the obsession. My older sister unfortunately fell in love with them too~

    7. My family likes them, but I couldn't ever imagine them owning one. ^^; I've convinced my friend and I'm so close to convincing her cousin to start saving up for Pukis~ 8D

    8. My family don't like BJD, so of course non of them are into the hobby -.-'

    9. My little sister likes BJDs, but I don't know if she's really willing to get into the hobby, haha. She would love one though (actually, ditto for my older sister)! I might get her one for next Christmas if I get a better job.

    10. Only my girlfriend, my family not in BJD

    11. No one, sadly. Mom thinks it's a waste of time and my sister...she's a school person. Dad...O.o let's not ask him. He's a manly man and likes his tools over dolls. So, I'm all alone in my family.

    12. My nine year old sis, loves the pipos cat dolls.
I might get her one when she get 11. :3

    13. *blinks*
Dude, that's a really epic mama!
      <3

    14. My stepmom is way into BJDs with me. Not to own for herself, but she really likes to play with mine, take pictures, and look.

    15. My momma is cool with them. In fact, she's commissioned me to make her an American Indian doll, so technically she has an Elfdoll Hazy :)
My younger sister (she's 21) thinks they're cute, but I don't think she'll ever get one.
AND... My cousin is the one who got me into BJDs in the first place :) and I love her for it!

    16. My sister is a big hyde (l'arc) fan and really likes the the bjds that she's seen that have been customized to look like hyde.
And actually she really likes some of the dolls and thinks they're pretty. She likes them but would never buy one (too expensive).

My mom thinks they're really pretty and unique but also would never buy one or actually really want one. But she likes them.

I want to get one that looks like me. *lol*

    17. we are a family of 5 all living at home. me, the mom, my husband, and my 3 girls. the youngest is 25, my other 2 are in their 30's. my 2 older daughters and i are all into bjd's. in fact, my oldest is a member of doa and it was she that got me interested in these wonderful dolls. it really is fun to be trading wigs and eyes and clothes and sometimes sitting for hours just playing dressup with our "boys" and "girls".

    18. My daughter and I. We even egg each other on to buy new ones. And we share ownership of one or two of the babies.

    19. None. No one in my family likes the dolls. I quote my mother "Why do you keep buying those stupid, over-prices toys." I wish I had someone in my family who did, but I have had no such luck! D:
