Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company.   2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.       My hubby says he wants one when he has money available for one, but he's worried he'd get it, get the costume done and then just let it sit.

      My friend's mom got into them (she's the one that got me my first!) and her daughter's waiting for the time and funding for it as well. Got a bunch of friends into them though. It's slowly spreading, save for the occasional "creepy doll" syndrome people ^_^

    7. My sister and I got into BJDs together, more or less. However, the last thing we expected was for Mom to get bitten by the BJD bug as soon as our boys were home. XD Now she's got it bad. Hardly a day passes when she doesn't come back from a shopping trip with something she hopes will fit our dollies, and she smiles and stops to look at them every time she walks past them (especially if they've just been changed into new outfits, be they casual or fancy). And yes, she always refers to them by name, too.

      As a matter of fact, just today she was looking into our DZ Yuu's face, when she suddenly popped this question at me: "So, will you be looking for a boyfriend that looks like Vyvyan, too?"

      I snorted and replied that I had considerably more realistic expectations than that. She nodded, but then added wistfully: "But you know, if a real person actually did look like this, he would be so beautiful. Hey, if you ever do find someone this good-looking, make sure to bring him home and show me, okay?"

    9. I have my 2 cousins but I´m not sure if they still be interested in bjds when they grow older. They are age 12, 16 I´m 25. They have fun with the dolls now but not sure they are as serious about bjds as I am. For me I would like to learn more and more about bjds. And they.. well they really love the dolls they got from me. (Dolls that I diden´t want anymore) They don´t really care much about restringing, bodyblushing or doing face-ups them self. Only time will show if they´re truly into the bjd world.

    12. Just me! My brother,mother and father all have other hobbies... which I usually share with them lol. But I'm the loner in my family for BJDs. My mom will help me shop for my dolls (like clothes etc we can use at the mall) and my dad helped me choose which BJD to get as my first. My best friend who is like a sister to me is a fellow BJD owner though. :3 She helped me get my Akando <3

    13. My dad finally started to support me in the hobby after he met one in person. He has been into Mego dolls since he was a kid, so I thought he would appreciate the articulation. Now he has a few who are super heroes >: )

    14. well my mom just bought a little brownie and my little sister might get one when she's older~ (she's six)
      my Dad doesn't like them to much XD he doesn't mind them lets just say he doesn't support it lol
      we had this convo "Save your money!" "I am!! for dolls...." I said the last part quieter tho pfffft, but he doesn't hate 'em at all~

      My mom thinks this hobby is a waste of my money. My little sister doesn't really like the dolls because she thinks they're "creepy", but she seems to be coming around a bit, since she loves the character that I'm using my first doll to shell for, so she said she's actually getting a bit antsy about her arrival. She'll probably want me to wait for her to get home from class to do the box opening too, ahaha XD

    17. Everyone i hang out with or are related to has nothing but mean things to say about the hobby and i havent even bought one yet :(

      i have one friend who is beginning to come about but as far as family? noooo.

      im hoping when i get one in the house though, the sweet dolly goodness will turn them all.
