1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Which of your family members are into BJDs?

Apr 14, 2007

    1. No one in my family. They acknowledge the dolls presence and thats about it.

    2. My older sister. I got her into this world, even though she got a bjd sooner than me.
And my mom likes them too, she would even like to help me make clothes for them. My dad... doesn't involve himself at all. He's indifferent I guess.

    3. I am lucky enough to have a darling fiance who throws himself whole-heartedly into everything my obsessive brain latches onto! (A few weeks ago I spouted obsession with purchasing some Tamagotchis for myself and him...he had never owned one but spent about an hour on ebay looking through them all with me!) He gets just as obsessed as me with things that come into my life, so naturally when I mentioned BJDs, he wanted names of manufacturers and wanted me to send him links so he could see which dolls I wanted! He wasn't even jealous when I said I had such a love for the *ahem* buff and sexy dolls like Akando and Chase (Iplehouse)! :aheartbea:aheartbea:aheartbea What a sweetheart I have! He wants to make BJDs a part of our life...we even discussed having a tea party in the Lake District when we buy our first, as a Welcome Home party! Dressing up and everything! (Darling fiance will use ANY excuse he can find to dress up in a suit...he LOVES steampunk!)

Will be sure to send pics when Akando (Akio) comes into our lives!

    4. My little sister likes bjds as well, and she's saving for one right now >w<
MY parents don't seem to mind me liking the dolls that much (well, my mum doesn't mind at all, not too sure about my dad). My Gran and one of my Aunts like dolls too, but that about it.
I think my cousin soes as well, I dunno, but that's mostly because her mum does xD

    5. My younger sister is into the hobby. I'm hoping to corrupt my cousin into it as well. XD

    6. maybe it's strange but my dad XD;

    7. none currently. they (meaning the majority of my family and my boyfriend) believe im obsessed and that i shouldnt buy one. -_- lamesauce. my cousin Ariel would be into them but jealous due to me being so close to having one.

    8. My big sis just received her first doll(Why I didn't have any dolls???T_T)..
But my cousins started to have interest in BJDs..

    9. My mom really likes my dolls -- she's actually very keen on making them clothes and suchlike! Mom has owned dolls before and made clothes for them, and even though she insists that she doesn't want BJDs and just wants to make clothes for mine, I honestly think it's only a matter of time before she decides to get one. ;)

My sister's funny: she is seriously creeped out by BJDs. ("Don't leave me alone in the room with them!") BUT she wants to also make clothes for my dolls -- in fact she insisted that I send her their measurements, and pestered me when I was dragging my feet about it! :nowords: She says she likes the dress-up part. :XD:

If I count my dad who's supportive but otherwise disinterested, I guess my family is kinda into them? Or at least the stuff surrounding BJDs if not the dolls themselves!

    10. None of mine are. They think it's way strange I would spend that much money on a doll. Whatever. ~eyeroll~

    11. My daughter, my sister, and myself are enjoy these dolls. My husband is creeped out and faints at the cost. Then I sweetly remind him of one of his hobbies. Bang, no more fainting. (:

    12. My entire family has pretty much accepted the cost and the girls of the family love the cuteness of my dolls. I showed my Uncle Bob pictures of the doll that is coming soon and he said,
"Are you getting that one? It is by far my favourite" So I guess he has taken notice of the ones I have XP

My grandma likes them the most, and yet is trying to convince me to not buy too many. O.O

    13. Sigh, just me in my family. My mom thinks that they are a waist and my daddy is indifferent lol.

    14. my mother in law takes an interest, probably wouldnt ever want one for herself though. she likes to see the different kinds some times if we go to orlando for a meet. she actually got really excited the first time she saw a puki. (expecially since it was in the hands of an SD)

my MOM has only seen one of my dolls but thought she was really cool. my husband asks me questions and takes a general interest in the hobby but thats about it.

    15. My husband is very interested in the hobby. He would like his own doll(s) someday, but for now he enjoys seeing mine transform.

One of my sisters also enjoys BJDs - not enough that she would ever want her own, but she loves looking at mine (in person, in pictures).

If my parents were still here I know they would be interested in them, too. My mom was always a fan of dolls/bears/etc.

    16. Just my sister, but since she has real children she doesn't have a lot of time for the hobby. *sigh*

    17. My husband actually adopted one of my MSD's and currently has plans for a MNF and an anthro doll.... he also enjoys interacting with my dolls :)

My Son got his 1st BJD for Xmas yesterday :D

StudioPandorasBones.... I am a mum of two and I still manage to be a BJD addict ;)

    18. My mom, KGdaKat, was into BJDs first. Once I saw her collection, I became interested. Now, I have my own girls.

    19. Though I haven't any dolls of my own yet.. I do plan on getting a few in the future. I explained it all to my mom because I was so excited about it and I guess she was glad I found something I was a bit passionate about. I think it was the way I spoke about it and how happy I looked. I really can't wait to get my first doll.. But anyway.. she supports it and was actually interested in seeing which dolls I wanted and such. Lol. None of my other family members know about BJDs and I haven't really talked to anyone else about it. I know they'd support me on it though even if they thought it was a bit silly. xD

    20. I got my sister into BJDs after I kept bringing mine to work with me (we work together) and she kept begging for one. I bought her a Notdoll Lucy for Christmas this year. She was overjoyed. :goldstar
