Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order.   2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     1. My friends are actually super supportive of this hobby. Two in particular get super excited when I tell them about my new projects or show them some pretty dolls or clothes I've found. They can also be a bad influence as they feed my impulsive tendencies and talk me into buying a doll I may be on the fence about lol. But I'm super grateful for the most part to have people who will listen and enjoy the hobby with me

    2. I personally don't know anyone who also collects BJDs. None of my friends are collectors. If I want to talk about the hobby, I do it online. I don't really mind to be honest.
      I've met some very nice people this way!

    3. My mom. My immediate family is pretty supportive of the hobby, which is nice, but my mother was always the one I talked to the most about it. (Now she’s into bjds, too.:lol:) I also occasionally chat with my sister about them. She doesn’t want a bjd for herself, but she loves dolls, and admires bjds from afar.

    4. Yeah, I don’t really have any friends in the bjd community. Sometimes my wife asks questions about what I am doing with my dolls or what I’m building for them but she is not particularly interested herself. So, really the only ones who I talk to consistently about my dolls are the dolls themselves.

    5. I don't have anyone I really talk with directly about BJDs, neither online nor offline. I talk a tiny bit about my interest in dolls to some of my IRL friends but I mostly keep it pretty general and in layman's terms since they usually don't know much about it. I do have a couple close friends who don't have any doll collecting interest directly, but love when I talk about cool and unusual dolls!! I'm like their own personal news source about innovation in the doll world haha

      I do think I need to get some pals to chat specifics with BJDs though because earlier today I was playing with a floating head I recently got who I'm thinking of hybriding with a DFA 1/3 boy body, and my internal monologue uttered the phrase "should I get him with the peen or nah" and I gotta find someone to say these things to out loud lest these sentences haunt my brain for the rest of the week LOL

    6. My wife is the only one who knows really. She's not into the whole thing herself so I can't really talk to about it with her. I don't really have many other friends in general, let alone people who are interested in dolls. It's all good though! Forums like these are a great way to express yourself and interests with like minded people who won't judge you for it.
