Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order.   2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     4. I wanted to have a bjd for a long time (4years?).. Just as a friend of mine @KatsumeNyaa . She tricked me into buying a doll chateau bella after she recieved her Beautiful first bjd kaiden <3 we talk a lot About the hobby :) and we also craft Things together for our dolls ^^

    5. I mostly talk to my girlfriend about anything doll related... that includes the verse in which our characters are placed in.
      But I also talk to some other friends (who are into the hobby) sometimes, although not as often. I mostly feel comfortable with my girlfriend since we have similar tastes and aesthetics.

    6. I talk to my husband & my best friend. My husband is just now getting into the hobby, but my friend is the one who got ME into the hobby about 8 years ago. We have a lot of fun talking about our doll plans.

    7. My best friend is the main person I talk to. but I also talk on my tumblr blog, dolls-of-our-lives. Even though it's not "directly" at anyone, it's awesome to post pictures and talk about my dollies.

    8. I would LOVE it if my boyfriend would get into the hobby. He does like them but he doesn't want to pay the price... :(

    9. It actually wasn't hard-- he's an artist, so he liked the idea of having a nice model. He's awaiting a F65 Chloe-- he is SO excited! Don't get discouraged-- maybe your boyfriend will get into it one day!

I do enjoy talking over BJD stuff with the boyfriend. :) It's cute...like he doesn't get into the hobby for the same reasons as I do but it's cool to see him get excited over potential BJD projects that utilize his talents (He's an arcade game tech), like wiring up some LED eyeballs for one of my ghost characters and programming it to change colors. And we talk about how it would be cool to build a BJD glass showcase that lights up and can hold all of my dolls, but we just don't have the room for that. It's just fun talking about the cool stuff we could do together, even if we don't necessarily get to actually working on them, hehe.

    11. Man, it's always hard for me to tell the people I know that I'm into this hobby. It's not really that easy in my country.. or at least with the people I'm surrounded with. They're very quick to judge and you'd often hear something as common as "That is a waste of money." and stuff, so I kinda like to keep this for myself and mind my own business. Though recently I've been talking about owning a BJD and willing to invest with a few selected friends, and they're fine with it. One of them is really supportive. I'm glad.

      I'd love to be more open and talk more BJDs in real or in the community of DoA, it's just that I haven't own one yet and I couldn't relate to any of the members, I feel very limited. I wish I do own one, soon. (laugh) :-)

    13. I don't really have any one, the one doll friend I had moved on. I try to talk to my husband, but he only have listens, turns the tv up, or rolls his eyes. So if there is anyone in the Missouri city, Stafford or Suger land Texas area that would like to meet, Im me.

    16. We have lots of dolly people in the area, some in Katy and Rosenburg. I drive in from the south. Join us at our next meet if you can. It's by Hobby airport, just jump on 610 and you're there. PM me if you are interested. It's a great friendly bunch.

    17. Personally, I talk to my friend Duckie. She likes the dolls but isn't interested in purchasing any herself. She got into the snake hobby and was really appreciative of me showing my interest and trying to get into it with her, that she did the same for me with my dolls. ^^ Other than her I started up a sideblog on Tumblr for my dolls and started following a lot of other BJD bloggers and it helped me make some acquaintances.

None of my previous doll collector friends share my love of the bjd's, but I have met some incredible people on this forum and Resin Cafe that have taught me a great deal regarding all aspects of collecting bjd's. My family will only listen for a few minutes before excusing themselves to do something else
