Why do you choose white skin dolls?

Jun 27, 2014

    1. I have two WS one because the doll was a vampire and I found it appropriate. And the other because the original design was sickly.

    2. Usually I develope the characters of my kid before I choose the skin color~~ White skin is very beautiful with the minimum amount of face-up ^_^:XD:

    3. I was considering getting a white skin lati to dye her because I've read that they are making them very yellow and resin yellows over time so I dont want to end up with a lemon colored lati but I love the sculpts and the detail of the dolls. They are very good quality. The only reason I haven't done any odf this is because I'm terrified of ruining a precious lati doll.

    4. For the most part, I think that my future doll purchases, I would probably choose normal skin over white, although, seeing as there are companies that are only offering the option of white skin for a particular doll [especially if they are limited, I think?], I'll probably end up with a doll in that color. c:

    5. My dolls are all faeries. I like the ethereal look of stark-white skin as opposed to creamy or tan. It fits the aesthetic I'm going for.

Plus, I like the look of unnatural, curly, wild hair against the completely pale skin.

I dunno. i've looked at girls with other colors, but I feel like there's more....dimension...to the white skin.

    6. I pick a skin color that os appropriate for the character the doll will be, but after that, I just kind of want a rainbow assortment of skin tones in my collection! I also like my collection to be comprised of dolls from many different companies, and it delights me in a way to sit all of these different dolls in front of me and marvel at the variety, haha. I love seeing how different companies interpret different skin tones, how different dolls' resin feels, the whole shebang! Though I have also fallen for the tan craze and now own 2 tan dolls with a big tan guy on the way ;)

    7. I bought my first white skinned doll because I liked him. I didn't give it much thought at that point. For the other one I picked the WS on purpose. It goes with his character (OC) and he has to stand out more since he is a god-like being.

    8. Personally, I love pale skin. All colors of skin are lovely, but I just love pale. Another good reason to get white skin is if you never want your doll to look really, really yellow over time. I'd be happier if I had a white doll that had turned kinda NS compared to a super old looking, yellow doll :)

    9. So far, every character that I've bought a doll for was very pale! I think in the future though, I may consider a normal skin tone instead, as some of the white skins are just too pale.

    10. I only have 2 WS dolls (both elven necromancers) and they have white skin because it's what suits their characters the best. And Mirodoll's white skin is really lovely! I love all skin colours though, and would love to have a very vast array. Including blue and purples and maybe greens!

    11. Most of the white skinned dolls in my house were rare heads that we stumbled onto in that color and when I have the opportunity to buy a grail I don't really care what color it comes in. A couple were deliberately bought in WS to match that part of our character set (I have one NS doll that I wish I could get in WS!). They do look unnaturally pale next to our NS and tan dolls though, so we've made them all ghosts or demons. If they yellow, oh well. Adds to the creepiness factor.
