1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. In the Critique section, I try to look for threads that havn't gotten a lot of feedback. I always try to comment on those first.

Otherwise, I only really comment if I feel I have something to add. Or to fawn over a doll in the arrivals section. I admit, I spend way too much time there....

    2. I'm guilty of hardly ever commenting (hence the low post count lol) I frequent the board quite a bit but I never really get up motivation to post. I mean, what am I gonna say? "Your doll is beautiful!" etc. like the other 25 people that posted before me? I don't really like posting what has already been said several times :(

    3. For me, it's a combination of the pictures being nice and "other", other being that the story is worth reading. I've come across a lot of junk there so I don't comment anymore really. I will comment if the story is good or if the photography is good, otherwise I get pissed off that I wasted my time. I shouldn't spend as much time as I do on the computer so I hardly go into the photostories anymore.

    4. I'm with everyone who posts mainly out of politeness. I haven't posted many stories/gallery pictures, but I've had a couple with only a small handful of comments. It left me scratching my head, and not exactly wanting to go to the trouble of posting, etc. You start feeling like the unpopular kid at school. What's wrong with my doll??

Although, I don't look at the galleries that much, because there are almost too many pictures to look at! And sometimes with the really involved photostories, I'm just lost. I mean, it's like the first time you watch a soap opera-who's that? And she's dating him, but this other girl wants him, and meanwhile, this other dude wants the first girl, and and..... :?

Otherwise, it's a matter of what appeals to mean-if it has the fluff tag I am there, if I have the time. :pcupcake I also like the smaller dolls and to me, there isn't as much interest in them as there is in larger dolls. That's not even getting into the popular molds vs. not so popular, etc.

    5. I don't usually post, I'm more of a reader than a poster. When I do post, it's usually because I'm asking the person what sculpt or what clothes they have in the picture, or how they did something.

    6. I post for a vast number of reasons.....

Some people complain about the number of people who look at their thread and do not comment. i will happily put my hand up and say "hi, that is me, i do that" and I will tell you why......I need to want to comment!

Does your post show enthusiasm, effort, pleasure, evoke emotion, anything?
Is your post just an intro that your friends will be interested in but has no real interest for other parties?
Does your post contain a doll or dolls that I am interested in?
Is there something new, a technique, outfit, sculpt style that has grabbed my attention?

I may post, but you need to surprise me. If you have a brand new, or your first doll, and you are full of life and enthusiasm even if the photos are not the best I can see your joy and your excitement, and the effort you are putting in then i will post. If you have done something that catches my eye, made something beautiful, told a story in image, then I will post, if you are a friend I MAY post, if your doll is one of the set viewed as "the popular crowd" I am less likely to post (this sounds mean but is not, I don't post much, I prefer to encourage where it is thin, not just to shower praise on those who receive it from many)

I don't post much to the galleries, in fact most of my dolls have never been seen on DoA, and when I do post I never expect many comments, If I post it is because I want to share. If you comment great, i will respond, if not...well I am happy if even for a moment you enjoyed viewing what I offered. That is good enough

    7. Definitely because the photos are eye-catching, but I also try to comment on every thread I view just because I feel as if it's not right NOT to comment after spending time viewing someone's hard work. ^^

I always love to comment on photostories simply because I like the creativity involved behind a doll's character. It shows uniqueness usually, or if it's a Fluff story, then it's simply cute and I couldn't resist commenting. :XD:

    8. If there is one part (or more) of the pic I like, then I comment on it.

    9. I don't post often on photos. D= Usually when I can't think of anything nice to say that hasn't been said a million times before. There's only so many 'Cute' 'Nice photos' I can submit before I feel like I'm spamming, otherwise I feel as thought I'm writing a novel and being a pest ^^;;

    10. I like when people post on my threads. It would be hypocritical of me not to post on threads that I like too.

Sometimes I will comment because I know the person, sometimes because I love the sculpt. Mostly it's just because the pictures are pretty, interesting, or unique, and I want to say something nice about them. It's always nice to konw that someone else appreciates your dolls besides you. :)
