Why do you comment on something?

I usually post if the subject strikes my intrest. Maybe it was the photography, story, something neat that isn't seen very often. It's kind of a random thing.

 

I think that with so many photos and so few time I try to let my friends know how I admire their dolls... but sometimes there are some photos that really catches me up so I just must to leave a comment and also if I want to know about the doll even if the photo doesn't seems so impressive to me.

 

I comment in the galleries because I like the pictures. That, and if the sculpt is one that I like.

 

i feel the same as this.

i feel bad for people who get NO comments when they put the effort to post their photos. and so i like to comment on those. and i never feel phony about it, because there is almost always something good to see in any photo of a doll.

 

I comment when I really like them or if I am just hogging for post points. but I always look them over-

 

If I click on a gallery thread, it's either because of the company, or specific doll mold, but occasionally the thread title or user is what captures my attention.

If I comment on a picture, it means that I really love something about what I've seen; I probably only comment one out of ten times for every gallery thread that I look through.

 

I comment when something about the post has grabbed me, even a little bit. And sometimes I will choose posts to comment on if they have zero comments, because I know what that feels like x_x;.

 

I'll reply if i like the pictures or the mold.

I post whenever a picture(s) evoke an emotion. It might be anything from hilarity, nostalgia or admiration. But this doesn't just apply to doll photography; I'm like this with all kinds of art, and I'm of the opinion that those kind of the best kind.

 

If I like the old and picture I may comment. But most of the time I dont since I have nothing else to say then "It's pretty".

I never know what to say ... so I dont say anything xP

There should be something special in photoshoot that appeals to me. I like nice photos overall but I prefer crappy pictures with strong idea behind to a high class photoshoot "about nothing". Usually I look at the molds I like or I want to see. But I'm eager to comment if something outstanding is shown - unusual makeup, lovely dress or dolly furniture in size, mold means not so much in that case.

All my BJD friends - I mean friends, not just acquaintances, - are local so I prefer to comment on their photos in their own diaries or IRL.

 

Usually i post nice comments only,usually i post comments only on the piccies that impress me,i have a nice comments policy only,so if i see something that i dislike simpy i do not post any comments,the tastes are pretty different and far away from member to member,so why i have to put unfair comment,when simply i can choose to not comment at all?
I do not make any difference from popualr modl or sculpt ,i post comment when the piccies impress me much.

 

I'm kind of a lurker, so when I do comment on pictures, I'm actually doing it for a slightly self-serving reason...

Not only do I want to tell the person how much I love the photos, but what I really want is to be able to find them again, and by commenting, I can just go through my posting history! Commenting for me is like keeping a record of all the most amazing things I've seen on the forum.

 

i do not often look at photos because i lack the time, but when i do i usually comment if the photos have received little attention, to let the author know their work has been appreciated.

 

I primarily post if:
-pictures are good
-there are no other comments but i feel there should be (cute doll, good pics, etc)
-something is unusual/interesting, such as the hair or outfit or background
-there is a question i feel i can answer

 

I try to leave a comment if I like the photos

 

cuz i have something (usually something stupid) to say or cuz i dont want to lose the page cuz the pics are nice (or something like that)

 

I know how much time it takes to do a good photoshoot/story so it seems only fair to say something nice about it.
