Why worry about his junk?

Mar 30, 2017

    1. I do feel a bit bad for my boys with their lovely sculpted muscles, long limbs, and that silly lentil between the legs.

But I'd rather have that sad little bean than a penis that makes it even harder to find decent fitting trousers. I hate to sacrifice realism, but getting pants on my boys is hard enough. It's a dilemma. @Elysion gear's squishy peen idea might be the answer to a prayer. ;)

    2. Okay, that made me do a literal spit-take. Tea everywhere. Silly lentil...

    3. Speaking for myself, my male dolls wouldn't be boys without their "junk". I like my boys to be correct. It differentiates them from the girls, and makes me really feel that they are MALE. It affects how they behave in my stories and in my imagination. I do have a bunch of DD boy hybrids on Obitsu bodies, and I am slightly bothered that they have very little down there. But since their faces are less realistic, I can live with their bodies not being as realistic either.

My first BJD was a boy. I wasn't surprised to see he was anatomically correct, although he was very different from any other doll I had ever owned. He isn't shockingly detailed, and he fits pretty naturally into his clothes.

As for clothing difficulty, I only have one boy who really gives me problems fitting into his clothes, and it's my Elfdoll Red. It's not his penis that is prominent. His balls hang unusually low (compared to my other guys), and his trousers just don't fit right at the crotch seam! :nowords:

They were actually made oif resin and spring loaded, if I remember correctly.

You've seen these now, right? It's slightly less detailed than on the resin Volks male bodies.

    4. My goodness, same! Hahaha. That is probably one of the funniest things I've read in a while.

I can understand why some people wouldn't like a prominent bump there for, as others have said, the silhouette. Personally I don't particularly care a whole ton either way, but if it's going to be there, the less 'noticeable' the better after the clothes, mainly because of the strange eyebrow quirks I'm sure the doll would get if it very clearly had some stuff going on beneath his pants.

... And then you've got Loongsoul, where honestly I'm kind of tempted to get an upgraded body just because of all the possibilities.

    5. Well, I don't know what to say other than the fact that I'm dying here! That just sounds so funny! :wiggle

    6. I forgot to say, I used to have a Dragondoll Cheng with magnetic bits, and it was annoying. His penis wouldn't stay in place when he was dressed, but I didn't want him going around without it. He couldn't even sit down naked with it, because his thighs would dislodge it! No matter what I did, it was always falling off. So since Cheng wasn't naked all the time and wasn't a porn star, his junk was inconvenient more than anything else. :sneaky

I know, hard to believe unless you can see it! :?

    9. And THAT is why I had to "worry about his junk"!! It's not a good day when you don't know where your penis is. :sneaky

    10. I prefer my boys to have their manly parts. I have one doll, an Obitsu 30cm (OT for DoA), and those bodies have no guy parts. Fortunately, his character, a demi-Muse, is a male identifying hermaphrodite and the guy bits he has as a character classify as a micro penis so it all works for him in doll form.

A friend has a Dream Realm boy and she has issues with his removable bits falling into his torso randomly. She has to then shake him like a bizarre maraca while holding one leg out of joint to get his penis out, which is kinda funny actually.

    11. *snickering*
Yeah. My brain Went There. I can absolutely picture the whole maraca thing...

Losing the "bits" is one of the reasons my poor Spirit Doll guy isn't wearing his. 'Fell right off and into his boot not ten seconds after I finished dressing him.

As for keeping track of the things when the doll ISN'T wearing them? The best idea for that I've heard (Or the funniest, at least-) came from one of the old Den of Demons crew.

She was using them as fridge magnets. XD

    12. That might be a good way to keep people out of the fridge...:sneaky

    13. I haven't heard about people wanting their male doll's crotch to be flat o.o that seems pretty weird to me, unless they mean they don't like when pants aren't cut with enough room for a penis?

    14. There was someone on an explicit doll site (I forget the site name and that has long since vanished) was making more realistic guy parts that you could buy. I think you could specify how happy you wanted said part to be, too.

One of the things I like about the old AoD bodies is the decent size of their junk. It doesn't seem like some accidental bit of resin that didn't get sanded off before shipping out to the customer. My new addition is an ID51 and he has very nice parts. There would be no modesty with him wandering around nude. I have others though that are... underwhelming. I know some dudes are "growers" not "showers" but that's a good deal of growing that would need to happen to hit the average size.

I believe Dollshe has a Ken-doll sort of cup thingie that comes with the newest bodies so you can swap out Mr. Happy with the cup to give a clean, smooth line and make dressing the doll easier. I think it creates a bit of a bulge like what you'd expect to see if a dude was wearing a pair of tighty-whities but not so much that it would interfere with dressing/keeping pants fastened.

    15. I still remember getting a fit of the immature giggles, when my Ringdoll Grown came home. Slightly feminine features, beautiful long legs, ripped abs, and a poseable member in his pants! Complete with little etched hairs at the top of the crotch.

It does move when dressing, but I wouldn't say it's pronounced in the crotch of the pants. I've been culling his expansive wardrobe, so he no longer has jeans or pants for the time being, as I was looking to switch him (still feeling bad every time I look at him). But, I don't recall him having a pronounced lump. And that's because it has its own little 'hub'. It sits back, not forward all the time. It can stand to attention, if desired, but I don't venture into doll nudity all that much (I did once, then wondered what the heck I'd been thinking).

Although, they are not Ken-dolls or GI Joes. They are much more 'realistic', and detailed, than the dolls we played with as children. I certainly wouldn't want a yosd with a pronounced member, but I certainly expect the mature boys (like the Ringdoll Grown line) to have something more than the sanded nothingness of childhood toys, or a small nodule in the crotch.

    16. I was actually checking options for a smaller SD guy in the 50-55cm range to pair with another smaller SD guy I have and I like the Unoa Elder Brother Zest and he was a possibility until... he's working the Ken doll thing below the belt. I've completely written off the doll line now as a possibility for any of my future guys solely because of his lack of junk. It's a shame, too, as the bodies are really nice and it's difficult to find boys in the shorter size.

    17. I guess I look for consistent sculpting? If the rest of the doll is realistic then I expect the same level of detail below the belt. If it's a more stylized sculpt then stylized bits are fine. A few of my boys have the 'silly lentil' and I kinda feel badly for them...

My two 28M boys use the cup thing. It helps with pants fitting but it's still a, er, *generous* bulge. Getting the Dollshe dudes dressed properly is a bit of a pain. My Van (who's on a Rythmos body) has to have his pants pulled down low because his junk is so pronounced. Same issue with the new Dollstown 17 boy. Dude should be an underwear model. It's a beautiful body though.

    18. I'm getting a Dollshe Pure body for one of my guys. If he happens to have nice junk, all the better for him. Given the style of clothes he'll be wearing (ancient Chinese/Japanese inspired), the fit of pants isn't going to be an issue for him. I have a BBD and he's got a nice package, which is fitting as his character is an Incubus. I haven't noticed any issues in dressing him and he likes to wear tight pants in order to show off his goods.

    19. I can safely say that I do not care either way.
I do appreciate when sculptors don't "cut corners" and pay attention to every details, but I'm not gonna look at it or show it past the box opening so even if there's nothing at all... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ my last dolls were minifees and they barely even have nipples!

I'm surprised to hear that! Their original boys have TWO, so I assumed the zest boys would too. Greedy L-bi and B-el took all the dicks xD

    20. I could be wrong, and please correct me if I am, but in the owner pics I saw here on DoA, all that was visible was a Ken-doll kinda deal. I did get a smile out of the idea that they used up all the allotted peen for the other boys. Guess the Elder boys needed to show up on time when they were handing out parts to make sure they got what they should *laughs*.
