Your choice of skin color?

Only white skintone. I had some dolls in normal, but sold them. I dream about tan doll, but afraid of tis color

 

Normal skin definately. I do have some tan dolls though and like them also.

 

All mine except for one are normal skin. Mainly that's because FL only has white and normal as options and white skin doesn't suit any character I have except for Miss Moira.

I've looked at tan dolls a couple of times from iplehouse and others and it's tempting but I don't have a character that kind of colouration would suit.

 

I tend to prefer a peach-ish/pinkish colored skin so I often end up using Natural or, if from Iplehouse, Peach Gold. Although, a lot of it depends on the face-up's too--like I'd probably not use a lighter skin if the face-up uses a lot of dark colors.

 

I love pretty much all skin tones, actually. Normally if I have to choose between white and normal, I'll pick normal for a lot of dolls, but white looks very beautiful on some dolls (coughMIRUKUcough). White is frequently too pale for me though. I love tan skinned dolls, though. I hope to get a tan girl and give her a rosy faceup with a pink wig some day.

I really love white skin.but most my doll is normal skin.i don't like dark or tan skin

 

I like them all. I had a hard time choosing actually though I finally decided on Miro bodies and NS. I like white too and I even like the doll bodies that are colored green, blue, pink et all, but I'm not much into fantasy creatures so that makes them impractical for me.

 

So far I have picked normal skin for my dolls but has been because it's the color that suits the characters look. It really has been the only option in these cases. I like all colors I've seen so far and some day I would love to own a tan doll too . I'm also fond of the grey/blue skin color that I have seen on some dolls .

 

I like normal yellow. Or white, but not pure white.
I do not like tanned color. And any specific color I don't want. =\

 

I like all the skin tones that bjds come in, but really love tans. However I hate the sanding lines and prices of tan skin dolls. So I usually end up buying them in normal skin.

 

I like white skin, like my Soom ! I think it's so beautiful with a dark wig

 

It's really interesting skimming this thread - I'd have really thought more people would be like me in saying ALL THE COLOURS!!

But maybe it's because I grew up on a steady diet of science fiction and fantasy; and not just the sort with aliens/other races so I like the idea of having the whole range of possible human skintones/experiences as well as a few more that would be considered outlandish (Seriously I'd love to have them all sitting in a Mos Eisley style bar together, but so far most of the shelled characters are on the standard humanoid end of things)

 

My dolls are on the pale side because my favorite companies don't offer darker skinned sculpts as an option, or so I believe.

I would like to buy a darker skinned doll, and give her a soft-pink wig and soft-pink eyes; however, not only the companies that create the sculpts that I wish to own in the future don't sell them, but I also fear the "greening" of their colour.

I've never had a doll go through drastic color changes, but I always hear that darker skin tones are much more likely to go through a color change. But I haven't researched about this enough to really know the odds of it happening.

 

I generally prefer normal skin. I think I might end up getting some tanned or white skin lati babies sometime in the distant future, but for now I'm really only interested in the peachy yellow or peachy pink skintones.

I do kind of wish I could get a really PALE normal skin. I don't like pure white, but one of my characters is quite sickly and she really ought to be pale...

 

I like the look of the milky white colors and pale skin tones. It's a look I like both on people and my BJDs. Not to say that I won't eventually get other colors, in fact I look forward to eventually have dolls is as many different colors as I can get my hands on

 

In response to whatVetinai said, I would love to have dolls with 'unnatural' I believe she said 'outlandish' colors. How fun would it be to have a rainbow of dolls sitting on your shelf?! O_O I'm obsessed with rainbows, and now I need to find way to make this happen!!

 

LOL time for you to invest in and airbrush paint system and learn to paint on resin! offer services called 'extreme faceups' LOL... personally I can't imagine multi-hued dolls... but a 'fantasy' doll whoes skin was a rainbow type.... (rainbow color on ONE doll mind you) that sounds like fun ^^. oooh a doll with a body done the colors you find in puddle oil spills in parking lots... or skin tht looks like a fire opal.... hmmm you've got me thinking now lol

 

Well, I like the "normal" skincolour best, unless off course you have a black character in mind.
The white is very white, if you ask me And therefore I only find it suitable for the more fanatasy-like characters

 

I think I don't have a preference, I like all the kind of skin colors... the important is to create a good match with the color of the skin with eyes and hairs... that's all that matter ! I like to variate colors, in future I wish to get a tan lati ! Is very beautiful!
