1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Your choice of skin color?

Jun 28, 2012

    1. When I doubt I chose normal/peach. But if I find a nice tan I will definitely go for it!

    2. Choice for me depends on the character in mind; most of my dolls and planned dolls are replicating either characters I already have, or existing fandom characters. I do have one where the resin itself is NS due to limitation in ordering, but she's blushed to a light-to-dark tan. The rest so far are mainly NS, a few WS, and planned for the future are some lovely tan skin ones.

    3. I find that I am drawn to white skin most of the time and tan skin sometimes. Not usually normal but occasionally. I guess it depends on the doll for me. Some of them suit tan skin more than others.

    4. I tend to go for the pure white skins( though I only have one doll at the moment). I think it's just because I've always been attracted to either albino white or onyx black in humans that I tend to go for the white skinned dolls. The extremes are just so gorgeous.

    5. I like the normal skin, the tan and the real skin. I usually buy the normal one because it's not an option (so I pay a little less than a tan or real skin). However, I'm getting my first tan in a month and I can't wait :)

I don't like white skin because for me it's linked with illness :( Even for fantasy creatures, such as vampire, I would prefer a normal skin or even a special skin (like a pink grey or something like that) but not white :) When I get a white doll, my first modification is to dye it xD I just did ont today, I Resinsoul Yu white that turn to normal skin (using very little drak brown colour Rit) :)

    6. I normally choose either white or natural, although I've been considering trying out a weirder skin color sometime, like blue or purple. :)

    7. I'm a sucker for tan. However, only one of the characters in my stories is tan, so... XD

    8. Most of my dolls are Normal skin and I really love this color. It's easy to photograph and my favorite hybrid combo looks great in normal skin (Volks + Dollstown). I'm also a fan of light tan. On the other end of the spectrum, I like the look of white skin, but knew the moment I bought a WS doll that he wasn't the one for me. Too pale.

My favorite resin type by far is Environmental Resin; it has the beauty of French Resin, but doesn't share it's cons.

    9. I tend to like light pinks and peach colors for some reason, but I'd like variety between my dolls if I got multiple. In general though, I like the pale complexion tones.

    10. All my girls so far are white and pink skin, but I fall in love with almost every doll I see in tan skin. I have one planned it's just picking which sculpt I want the most that's the hard part.

    11. If I could... I'd order all my dolls in Iplehouse real skin! Such a beautiful tan!

    12. I choose pink or normal skin :)

    13. I have two white skin dolls. I'm curious about Tan but I don't especially want to deal with seams. If I get a tan doll I think the first will be an RS Mei.

    14. I adore the white skin dolls :)

    15. I love white skin dolls, but I don't have any because of yellowing... Maybe some day I'll buy white skin doll, I want to : )

    16. Some times bevore I prefere white skin, because I loved gothic style...
But at the moment I like more normal pink or yellow, because my dolls looks like normal young girls and boys yet :-)
It is dependent on my feeling

    17. I prefer Normal skin tone, though sometimes am drawn to Tanned dolls :)

    18. I prefer NS, however I have seen a couple light tan that I liked. :)

    19. I like seeing a variety in dolls and I'm not to picky when it comes to the color of their resin. I just pick whatever is appropriate for that character. I have a couple of dark tan girls and I just can't picture them any other way. I also have a doll with normal skin and one with a pinkish skin. I have plans for a white skin doll and one for a light tan doll. I'd also love to have a doll with gray or lavender resin.

    20. I tend to buy normal skin for pretty much everyone, unless a doll specifically comes in an alternate skin tone. Having the widest array of compatibility for replacement parts is nice.

Though the new semi-white skin that Volks is putting out this summer might be interesting. I've seen it on store display dolls but have yet to own one to know for sure.
