Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Your choice of skin color?

Jun 28, 2012

    1. Grey is right now what I'm really loving. I don't have any dolls yet, but everytime I see a grey I drool.

    2. I love white skin. I don't know if it's because I'm really pale myself, but it's my favorite skin color.

    3. I prefer the natural skin colors, I love the normal skin and tanned skin. I am less attracted to white skin. But I must say I'm starting to really appreciate the gray skin! When I want a new girl, it's hard to choose between the normal skin and tanned skin, I always hesitate when tanned is available ^^ Fancy colors (blue, green... ) are definitely not for me!

    4. I like the white and light colours the best ^^ I occasionally like fantasy colours though I have found that in the fantasy and dark/tan colours the resin can be uneven and not true to stock images. I would love to own a tan doll but bad experiences have put me off slightly. Also many companies vary on the definition of tan.

    5. Most of my dolls are some variation of natural skin/white, and I have a green and an orange doll. I think the orange is my favorite! I've been heavily leaning toward getting a tan doll...sometime. Probably after this layaway...

    6. white skin or very very pale :D

    7. I simply adore the Sunlight aka tan girl that I FCS through Volks ... not to mention with the help of one of our wonderful members here :aheartbea

My other two girls have white skin, bc I wanted a pale look to fit the idea of their personalities. I had one girl that was normal skin tone and I don't think I would do that again. :|

I'm seriously drooling over a Luts Honey Delf in tan :fangirl:

    8. I have a mix of colors right now, normal, tan, and blue. I really like the tan skins though and I try to stay away from the white skin (unless its an animal bjd, then its ok). I would love to get some darker skin tones in the future.

    9. All of mine are normal or WS but I'm really feeling the caramel color of Lyse.

    10. I only buy dolls with NS and tan skin. I do not like WS dolls. But i do have alot of WS anthros. But then again i view those in a totally different way then my human dolls.

    11. I don't like WS, normal pink looks more natural to me. I wish there were more tan options though :(

    12. I'm a fan of WS and normal yellow (or when buying second hand, WS that has yellowed to a creamy off-white). White skin because I think it looks lovely in pictures and I like the high contrasts you can get when doing face-up or tattoos on WS. Normal yellow or yellowed because I think it's the most natural skin tone out there -- normal pink, especially when new, often looks unnaturally pinkish to me. Tan or grey skin would definitely be an option for a mold that suits those skin tones, but I don't currently own those tones.

    13. Tan, tan, tan! If a doll I love comes in that color I'll go for it every time. I also like white skin dolls but they yellow so easily & many of my dolls are just regular resin as that's all they were offered in.

    14. I prefer normal skin, I love white but sometimes it looks too white.

    15. I have a majority of normal skin dolls right now and one white skinned. I'd currently preferring the normal skin but would like to progress to a tan someday

    16. I love gray and tan skin VERY VERY MUCHH <3 I think is really cool and well looking but I always keep most of my OC's-dolls in normal skin, which I like a lot too :)

    17. It depends on the character/company. Some companies have really weird shades of tan, or sometimes their white skin is yellow-ish. I think in general, Normal is a safe way to go, and if you wanted to blush it lighter or darker, its easy to do. I go with whatever color of skin I need for the character. For example, I want an E.I.D. Bichun, and I think that the iplehouse real skin option would fit him perfectly. It really just depends.

    18. My favorites are generally tan. Though I only own two tan dolls, most of mine "normal" tone. I have 2 cream white too. When it comes to owning it all depends on the doll and character for me. My favorite shade of tan is definitely the old Luts Delf tan from '08. I also like how my dolls look aged.

    19. of all the dolls I have actually have a white resin, it looks pretty cool, I have a couple coming that are gray because they are vampires, but yeah, and i'm looking to get one into tan, so I only have one color to really compare it too, as of right now, so we'll see if i change my mind lol

    20. If the doll doesn't have to shell a specific character, but has just to be "faboulous", I tend to choose natural. For anthro characters, even when natural is available, I prefer white, grey, cream, or other fur-like color. A pinkish anthro will look "skinned" to me, like those egiptian cats without fur...
I'll get a grey skin RS Ming, sooner or later, and I hope to bond with him. I don't feel attracted by exotic, vivid resin colors (orange, red, green...) because i fear it will be difficult to give a face-up and dress them...
