Your choice of skin color?

Most of my dolls are normal yellow, and I really like it a lot. One of my girls used to. N be white skin, but has mellowed over time. And by accident I received one very light tan head. Now I have to try and find a matching body for her. And I am planning to purchase a big, grey-skinned man...I am very curious how I will like his skintone. But yes, I think my favourite skin color is still normal yellow.

We, with my bf, has a doll in a normal skin and white skin. Now are thinking about purchasing girls in tan and light violet.

 

I like white or normal skin, I really want a white skin doll though! I prefer the creamier white skin rather than a stark paper white though, or a really pale normal skin.

 

Iplehouse realskin it just looks so natural, if it's not an Iplehouse doll I tend to lean toward a normal pink I never really cared much for the yellow and I would only buy a white skin if my doll were going to be some sort of gothic persona!

 

I prefer light skin, I like normal and tan, light brown, But I'm crazy about white skin

 

I like white skin...never had a tan doll before but it looks lovely on pictures, well, I kind of had one (IH Claude in real skin looks similar to tan) if I were to choose between white and the real skin from IH, I'd choose real skin. Too bad their dolls are not for me.

 

I love normal skin color,same as my skin. But it will get yellow over the years. So a light tan would be perfect!

 

I really love normal and tan, but I was never really crazy about WS dolls for whatever reason. I am really interested in grey dolls at the moment, but at this point I don't think my collection will include very main non-normal colored dolls since my general preference is for pink and tan, however I am considering saving up for a grey BBB Elfkin!

 

I'm not that huge on most white skins, mainly because a lot are paper white which is just too pale for me and a little too striking. Cream whites I could always consider though, but generally I tend to prefer normal skin unless there's a very specific reason why the character needs to be paler. Currently I have two dolls with NS and one that's tanned and another I'm waiting for is also tan. After that I'm probably either going to get another NS or tanned doll so...

But I do love tan though, I just received a doll from Withdoll in Brown Tan and I loved the colour! I tend to stick with more human-like colours though since the characters my dolls are supposed to be are all human. Doesn't mean I don't get tempted to get a grey doll or something occasionally though :P But generally I prefer NS or certain tans. But I could probably consider Withdolls Cream White or their Rose White.

 

i prefer white skin usually. Otherwise it would be pink normal. I haven't had a need for a tan doll yet, the price does put me off though

 

I like normal and white, but not "paper white" (maybe I'd appreciate that for a ghost character). However, tan has a special place in my heart, because here in my town I mostly see fair-skinned people (me too, to the extreme... instant sunburns included!), there are virtually no people of color, so dark skin had always fascinated me. Light tan or peachy skintone looks lovely for me too, I instinctively associate it with healthy amount of sun exposure for a (doll) person I have yet to acquaintance myself with fantasy skintones...

 

I prefer normal skin, and in many cases tan skin. I don't think I'd ever want white skin, but I can see the beauty in it.
I don't think I've ever seen grey skin. I doubt I'd be interested.

 

I have the problem right now) I should choose one of the skin color for my future gift from my husband - mikhaila by leekeworld. Tan or pink rosy? What's a difficult choice for me)

 

Well, I started with Normal Skin, then saw a Tan Raspberry in Flickr and hoped to get her sometimes. Unfortunately the week I checked Jpopdolls they had a white Raspberry for immediate sale and I just could not not have her. Since then the dolls I have been interested in were offered only in White or normal skin so...Now I have White Skins and Normal Skins. I am still hoping to get a tanned one some day though I haven't found the right sculpt yet.

 

My current 3 are normal skin and I've always wanted to know how different a white skin one would stand out in my collection. But my current obsession is with tan skin or real skin. It just gives off a more natural and healthier looking feel especially since 2 of my 3 appear exceptionally pale (despite being normal skin) under certain lighting haha.

 

It's a shame this wasn't a poll as this would be amazing to see the figures next to each other to see what people prefer! Personally I love the tan's but have yet to own any as my favourite moulds never came in a colour other then White, or I found an alternative doll then one of the tans I liked and couldn't resist!

 

For me, skintone depends entirely on the character the doll is representing. I have a mix of white, "normal skin" (be that pink or yellow), tan and odd colors like purple. I don't have a preference, per se.

 

Have you ever considered NS yellow dolls or do you think they'll eventually discolor into some strange new shade of yellow when age gets to them? I'm trying to decide what skin tone to get right now and though I love the face-up offered on the NS yellow option, I'm afraid of the yellowing factor...

 

I usually prefer a pale normal skin on my dolls, but white is alright. I like my dolls to have a soft pink look to them I guess.

 

I prefer the white skin! I think that the white skin is very pretty~ But I also like pale normal skin as well, I think just pretty pale skin colors are what I like.
