1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Your choice of skin color?

Jun 28, 2012

    1. I am not a fan of yellow skin, but I don't seem to have a preference other than that.

    2. I love almost all colors. I do prefer white, tan, and fantasy skin colors more than the normal yellow/pink one.

    3. I would like to see more colors like pink, green, orange, maybe a red. Harleyfae

    4. I tend to choose normal skin for my dolls, sometimes I would think if I should go for white because it'll yellow over time anyway, but it's just too pale for my own liking ><

    5. I love tan skin! That's what I chose for my first BJD, although, I have heard some horro stories concerning tan resin but that isn't going to stop me. :D

    6. Definitely normal skin. although there must be color difference between different doll producer, but it seems that normal skin finally will pluralized into similar color. I saw some white skin will become green after few years, but some will be yellowing...

    7. It seems I'm one of the few who doesn't go for the very pale porcelain look. It's very BJD company to even have the 'normal' skin be quite pale. Personally it scares me a little :)

    8. My favourite is normal skin, I find that white skin is too lacking in colour for my tastes and fantasy skin colours are just not for me. Though tanned skin currently seems to be growing on me a little.

    9. I love tan dolls like I seem to love them all! That said I like white too.

    10. I love white skin and long time bought dolls only in white skin. But lately, I began to stare at the tan. Last two dolls were bought it in tan =)

    11. I personally prefer normal or white skin. ... for now .. :)

    12. White skin is one of my favorites + real skin normal from Luts and the gorgeous tan of the first release of Chalco.

    13. I seem to be partial to tan thoughI really like my one white skinned boy too.

    14. I don't have a favorite skin colour, it all just depends on the character, really. I have a white skin, a pink skin and a yellow skin boy and I think they're all wonderful colours. c:

    15. It all depends on the character, really.
But generally, for boys I like them to be darker in color, and for girls a lighter-skinned color. I don't do white, though.

    16. My first and only doll is paper white, which is a bit too pale to my liking to be honest.
And I would like a very dark skin tone for the next doll to bring a bit of variety and contraste to my doll collection (if 2 dolls can be called a collection :P).

    17. Normally, I'll think about NS first since this tone is considered as safest colour to me. However, as I always make a quick search before deciding to order a doll, I'll carefully consider about the tone that I think it suits best for the doll in my imagination. For example, SID Felix should be in Real skin or Peach Gold Skin instead of Normal. I also owned two White Skin BJDs from Fairyland because I wanted them to have fragile looking.

    18. I choose normal skin for my dolls . But lately, I began to like brown skin from Switch doll :mwahaha

    19. The lightest skinned dolls I own are Iple's peach gold. I'm scared to get anything lighter than that, because it seems so washed out and unhealthy. :sweat Most of my dolls are real skin, and my first light brown one is on his way.

    20. It really depends on the character I want that doll to represent, though I'm not attracted to fantasy coloring with the exception of the color Gray which is starting to grow on me. So right now I'm only purchasing dolls in either White, Normal (Pink), or Tan/light brown.
