Your choice of skin color?

Jun 28, 2012

    1. I prefer Normal or Tan skin dolls, since it's more natural !

    2. Most of the time, tan skin
But I like NS Dolls too :)

    3. I tend to go for dead white. Snow and bone and frost dolls. It's a fairy tale thing.

    4. Everybody seems to love NS or Tan, but my top pick is always White! My second choice is fantasy colors like blue, etc. To be honest, I'd rather have a tan than an NS. But I do own NS dolls, very few, of course!

    5. Iplehouse realskin . dark skin especially benny ^^. OR white on all other brands.

    6. My favourite skin colours are usually either pink, white, or grey~ I have actually never really found a tan skinned doll that I liked ;-; Right now I have one pink and one normal skin, but I am hoping to get a grey in the near future~

    7. I like the normal skin tones the best. In my opinion they combine easily with all and every color.
I do have 2 WS dolls. The white skin is a nice variation and everything pops even more (color wise) but the same goes for the yellowing :|
Tan skins can be very beautiful, but I cannot see myself owning a doll in tan.
Next on the list, grey skin.

    8. My favorites are NS and tan, but I also love blues and purples! :) I don't think I'll ever own anything other than NS and tan, but I love admiring photos of other skin tones haha

    9. Normal and tan are my favorites. Dolls with these skin tones take better photographs in my opinion.

    10. I wasn't too sure about normal pink at first, but I've grown more fond of it - both yo-sds I'm getting are going to be in normal pink. Hoping I'm not wrong about the color when I finally have them at home and see it in person.
Sammy's white skinned, and I love his appearance to death, but I think I'm more fond of the regular white skinned dolls if they have more blushing to them, body-wise included, otherwise some tend to look kind of..I don't know, flat? That's just me though. Sammy will get body blushed eventually. When I have the time.
I'm really hoping to own a darker tan skin doll in the future, and one that's more of a darker sort of color. I've seen pictures and I think those are gorgeous. :)

    11. My favorites are white, dark tan, and gray. But because of tight budget I can't ever see myself owning either tan or gray dolls.:pout:

    12. My Favorite has always been WS. I was nervous buying my first white skin doll but I got over that. I have normal skin dolls but only when I can't get ws or tan or some other color. I've tried normal skin dolls and I seem to always end up selling them.

    13. I have periods. Seriously, I can have a year of buying tan-skinned dolls. And the next year only gray.
But generally it depends on a doll itself. I have a vampire doll - and she's white. Or I want to purchase a wood elf doll - and she's going to be pretty brownish.
But most of them are normal skin anyway.

    14. I want a tan skin doll really bad but most dolls I have are normal skin. My newest and 2 incoming girls are white skin though.

    15. When I joined the hobby, I mainly got WS dolls. Now I'm moving towards more 'natural' tones.

    16. My favorites are normal yellow and a nice, natural tan. Needless to say I don't own either XD

    17. I don't like dolls with white skin color. Instead, I prefer a white-normal skin color, wich looks elegant and fits almost every wig. But my favorite skin color is brown. It's hard to fit it with the correct wig, but it looks really realistic and has a natural shading. Also, you can play with the faceups wich can look really pretty above this skin. In the zone of the mouth, you can show volume on the lips. Once you find the perfect faceup and clothing, for me, it's the perfect doll! Though, I think this skin color fits better on kids (1/4 dolls).

    18. I prefer white skin, especially if it's paper white. White skin dolls look either delicate and ethereal or unsettling and scary to me, which I prefer over the generic human look. That said, I'm fine with most skin types...except "normal yellow" skin tones, no matter the company. Some companies make it work if it's got more of a yellow undertone, but usually they look like the doll has jaundice to me. Bleh.

    19. Hmmm I buy NS dolls, mostly because it looks healthy and my dolls are "ordinary people". Even though I do like white skin and it often looks great, I think a paper white doll would look a bit odd between my NS ones, sickly even. I'd like a light tan, too, something like a tad darker than NS, but not too dark tans.

    20. For me it is Normal skin.
But I want a tan skin and I am looking at BJD with Gray skin option to hopefully make my OC one day. But its hard when I look for sharp face and elf ears. Found one that I think looks really nice with gray option, but it has no elf ears.
