Your choice of skin color?

Jun 28, 2012

    1. I really want a dark-skinned girl, but since they tend to be more expensive, I just have to slowly save up :(

    2. I love tan skin and I already have a character in mind who has tan skin but I have not found the perfect sculpt yet. So sually I go for normal skin. I'd say these two are my favourites

    3. I prefer tan and yellow. White just doesn't appeal to me and pinks are eh depending on the company. Tones like Island Doll's Island skin and Impldoll's Tan/Dark tan are what I am ALL about

    4. I like white and pinky dolls but tan it super pretty! It just depends on the character when I'm choosing a skin tone.

    5. My collection is overwhelmingly tan. XD I have only 2 white skin dolls out of 7, and I've just ordered another tan doll.

I'm not even sure how that happened, exactly. It used to be that most of my favorite characters were pale, but I've been diversifying in recent years, and Iplehouse Light Brown resin is beautiful and addictive!! :)

I have some pale charas I want to shell eventually, but they've had to take a back seat to these wonderful tan beauties.

I have found that I do prefer photographing the tan skin too. Sevaal and Rondel wash out so easily if I'm not super careful about my exposure settings! But it takes my settings being way off for my tan dolls to look anything but gorgeous. :D

    6. As many say, it depends on the character, but I find myself leaning towards Tans and naturals, over whites and pinks. There's just something warm about the colors that draws me in.

    7. I just received my dark gray skin Lati and i love it! So striking and unusual.
Other than this I think i like the white skin girls better than normal skin. Tan is nice but for me that depends on the hair colour

    8. I would have all my dolls in a different variety of color ! I have actually at home tan , normal and white skin , plus one lilac ....I like all of them and I'm dreaming of a doll with a blue one <3

    9. I like tan skin but it scares me with yellowing. But they are beautiful with body blushing. My only doll is in dark tan(the more brown tone than orange) and he is beautiful. Buuuut white skin and normal skin show color pigments better sometimes. But I only say that because I'm a noob at faceups

    10. I have two dolls now, one is normal pink and the other is "Island" which is a bit more yellow toned. I have a character in mind I want to get a doll of, and she is fae and will have the pure white skin tone. :D

    11. Tan and grey skin, definitely. * 3*
Although I need to make characters that match first haha!

    12. My first doll, BBB/RS Mei, is 'normal' skin. I wanted to get her in white, but I didn't and I don't remember the reason why, but I'm glad that I chose that way. My second doll is an Aquarius Ella in tan and I'm slowly falling in love with more colored skin. It may be because of the fact that the resin quality is so different between the two, but the tan just looks a lot better. I feel like it's good to try a light color if you like tans, or a tan color if you like lights or just see one in person. I feel the same way with different sizes of dolls, but that's a different discussion altogether! :)

    13. I love tan skin
and it's easier to take picture than white skin
but it really depend on the mold / character

    14. I like white skin most of all, but the problem is, that it changes the most over the time. So, normal skin is an optimal variant for me.

    15. I have a variety, pale, tan, peach, and blue! I love the blue one. She's adorable, but OT.

    16. My favorite skin is the pale french resin. It has an interesting translucent look that looks so delicate. I wouldn't buy it though, as it doesn't last. I don't care for a lot of the fantasy colors. I sometimes like a more fantastical color skin if its a pastel or soft color. I don't like the extremely deep tones. I like light tan skins all right, but don't care for the dark tans. I really really dislike the straight black skins. White and normal skin is usually what I go for. I have one doll planned that will be light tan. Tan just freaks me out since I can't really sand it.

    17. I've been drooling hardcore over Crobidoll's tan skin UGH it looks so beautiful!! Tan Crobi Lance = THE DREAM RIGHT THERE :D I've also gotten really into Luts Real Skin Brown, it looks like such a warm resin colour!!

    18. I love tan!!! There's just something about it that adds so much detail and character to the doll.

    19. I thought I would want normal and what do I have? A Luts light, and IP normal, real skin, peach, and light brown. Each one is a different color.

    20. I looooooove tan skin bjds! that soft warm colour really does it for me *u*. I don't think I could ever have a paper white doll, just because "pure and light" colours aren't really my thing. Tan is the only way I'll go (screw the extra $$$ though!)
