Your choice of skin color?

Jun 28, 2012

    1. This is something that varies greatly and depends on the situation. But the undeniable fact that tan dolls are special. But I like all skin tones. I just think I never buy white or cream white, I think unreal and that does not value the makeup and body blushing.

I think shades of tan skin from Iplehouse are so expensive. But I never cease to make a purchase because of it. I'd rather wait longer and add more money and have my doll with tan skin. I love the Special Real skin from Iplehouse, gives the doll a gorgeous appearance.

    2. I thought i loved white skinned dolls. but I got one tan doll when my luts LE came in a few months ago, and i've fallin in love with tan.
the white is not so much my color.
I have quite a few normal tons coming in to.
And then more tan and a white.
So I'm not sure. I think it depends on the face and character what looks best. Who they are.
Are they sun shy? do they love the sun? do they get just the right amount.

I can not do any strange colored skin though. But i dont have any characters in my head or from animes i enjoy that have strange skin colors.

    3. As white as possible, I don't like any other colors.

    4. GREY! This might seem weird, but ever since I was a child I loved the look and feel of concrete. In some way, I think this reflects in my choice for grey resin. I think it's mysterious, strong, and alluring. It also highlights the planes of any sculpt beautifully.

    5. My favorite skin is white skin. Like, frosty white skin. I find it so beautiful. And with pink contouring. OUFF SO nice ahaha

    6. I prefer naturall skin cause it's hard to work in the makeup of white skin.

    7. It might seem a bit boring, but I do prefer the normal-skinned ones, if only because it's much easier to match clothing for them. And there isn't as much worry about whether you'd chip the face-up off the resin if it's a white skinned one?

    8. I prefer normal skin dolls. But more on the yellow spectrum than the pink. I've also started to become fond of tan skin dolls. I don't really like white skin dolls - something about them looks off to me. But to each their own.

    9. I tend to like normal skin, also normal yellow and pink, for me they look more natural, but i want a tan skin girl very badly so i think i like that color too, white skin is not my choice, i think i have seen many beautiful dolls in that color but i don't want one for me.

    10. I REALLY want more tan-skinned dolls, but I've heard about how unstable tan resin is with discoloring or having marbling/bubbles, so I'm kind of iffy about it :(

    11. I like NS the best. It ages the best, it's versatile, you can sand/mod it easily, and I just like the way it looks.

    12. I prefer normal skin, although I do like the look of gray resin. I'd have to come up with a character who has gray skin for a reason though, like a character of a more mythical race, if I ever looked into getting a gray skinned doll. Same with other unnatural skin colors.

I also like more milky pink skin for whatever reason. xD A good example would be Angell Studio's Gus in milk-pink. It's just such a delicate color, I love it~

    13. I loved white skin but not the pale or paper white ones, to me they looked too "lifeless". I also prefer normal pink only because sometimes normal yellow tends to look very yellowy like olive oil...XD

    14. I don't think I could go much lighter than NS pink, personally. White resin just seems a little... Unnatural? I dunno. Haha, that said though, I think it would be cool to own a doll in a fantasy color. Is super pale purple an option anywhere? I kind of want a girl in pale purple, I have a character that would match her perfectly.

Tan skin is gorgeous. I'm addicted to the sheer variety of tan shades out there. Hoping to own my first tan doll soon...! >.<

    15. I love tan resin but not "just a shade darker than NS/cant tell if its NS or TS" iplehouse, dollshe, momo color, luts & fairyland all have beautiful tan options! I wish more companies offered it as standard. Little black girl grew up playin with white barbies cuz ma thought the black ones were "ugly" so i want my collection to be full of black & brown skinned dolls (just to prove black is beautful & u need to let go of some of the issues u have with darkskinned ppl when ur dark & ur daughter is dark too!)

      sent through the forests

    16. I also prefer pure white or pale skin on dolls, too. But mostly because the resin is more stable.

    17. I seem to have a fascination with tan skin, however, I can't manage to purchase one. Both dolls I've ever purchased are in natural skin so I guess that's my personal preference. It's the most versatile and I know exactly what I'm getting.

    18. My crew is definitely majority White Skin. No particular reason (maybe I like white?) Good second is Normal skin. One odd one with Grey skin.
Would also love to have a tan skinned lady at some point but so far I have been unable locate my tan skinned beauty.

    19. I like to have all realistic skin tones, i have white, normal, peach gold, real skin, light brown & ebony my less favourite is the white, I don't think i would ever buy a doll in a fantasy color, maybe grey one day for a vampire but i will never buy violet, green or blue or any other shocking colors, i have even saw a doll in red!!!

    20. Generally I prefer normal skin color, someday I will buy tan or grey doll - they look great but require more intense faceup style, now I don't have such characters in my mind. My less favourite color is white, it is kind of unnatural.
