Your choice of skin color?

Jun 28, 2012

    1. I love the way Iplehouse's real skin looks, but there are other companies with "sun kissed" tones. Super white kind of frightens me. heh.

    2. TAAAAAAANS. I always adore Tans, even if I only own two. My ultimate dream dolls are all tans. ;) I just love the colours that the companies use for tan skins and how unique the dolls look.

Not a fan of white skins, but I like normal or real skins.

    3. I just ordered my first black doll. I am SOOOO excited!!! omgosh, so excited!

I currently have mostly Caucasian dolls. I have one gray-skinned zombie-type doll, and my wife ordered a green-skinned doll for me for Christmas. I have two tan dolls. I like dark skin better I think, but I base some dolls on role play characters and a lot of my characters are white.

    4. I love tan skin, like a caramel, toasty almond color. My next doll will be in that color. But I also love very pale NS, with a pinkish tint.

    5. I like cool fantasy colors ..grey, blues, etc, since most of my crew are fairies or magical people of one sort or another, but I own mostly white and NS. White seems the easier color for hybrids, though since it's easier to blush to match whatever else you are putting with it. My favorite color is lavender but there isn't a lot out there yet except from Soom; and of course hybridizing is tough. *_*

    6. Normal type, the best. I also like the white skin as wellXD
But if I really like a dolls, whether he or she is black or white is not a problem at all

    7. I like Volks Normal Pure Skin the best.
For BW, I also Like Volks BW skin the best and it tends not to yellow as fast over time. But BW skin is harder to photograph
For tan I also like Volks Sunlight skin the best

    8. I like a lot of skin tones; I think it depends on the sculpt and the company.
Iple's new Peach Skin is amazing.
I love Peakswood's tan skin, but I think their tans are limited.
I've mostly stuck with NS. I have Iple's Tania in WS, though, because I wanted her character to be really pale.

    9. I love ebony skin. It's just so pretty and rich. *___*

    10. I love my dolls with white skin. It looks so cool. But a doll in tan skin makes me pretty eyes.

    11. Since Obitsu have only two skin tones, it wasn't a hard choice. I chose natural skin. I never had any Obitsu dolls with white skin but I saw some photos and I thought that white is a bit too white for me.

    12. I loveee tan skins. But none of the dolls i ever love (or are limited) come in tan skin :(

    13. I always used to buy white skin dolls, something about the white skin was very 'doll like' and ethereal but after a while I realised the colour made my wig and clothes options seem limited. I was drawn in by some realistic looking caucasian skin tones and how the natural shadows really made the sculpts seem alive. Now I only get normal skin dolls.

    14. I'm currently interested in Iplehouse's real skin, and peach gold skin...they look more natural and beautiful! Normal skin and white skin are/was my favorite...I have 3 MSD boys with 'normal skin' and 2 of them look white! almost the same as my other 2 white skin dolls and the other one is pink^^;; so I don't know how to classify 'normal' as, at least, the old normal from DOD looks white/light cream and the new one looks pink.

In the end, I just get the sculpt I like^^

    15. I'm not a fan of white skin on human dolls, but it's fine on anthros. Usually I get 'Normal Skin', although I'd love a Tan doll eventually.

    16. I actually love them all. :D I have white skin dolls, normal skin dolls, tan dolls, and even green. :) I think they are all beautiful in their own way. I think I have mostly normal skin dolls, but that might be because all the models don't come in every colour. :D

    17. For skin colors, I much prefer a wide variety of tones instead of choosing just one. The next doll I plan to get will be white skin, which I think will contrast nicely with my girl's lightly tanned skin. I wouldn't want any doll of mine to have the same skin color as another, but that's just me. :)

    18. I own dolls in ws, ns and tan.

I love my tan and normal skin dolls, I think there is a lot you can do with both skintones.

but I myself prefer white skin on most of my dolls, because my dolls are usually seraphic creatures (angels) or dead (ghosts and vampire). also I find that i have better luck matching white skins between different companies.

Finally i do hope to also own a gray skin doll some day.

    19. I prefer normal skin maybe 80% of the time. I don't know why, I just like it better, and most of my characters are humans, so what other color would they be? Yes, tan can be a natural skin color, but it doesn't call out to me the way it does for other people, I guess. I do have one home-dyed tan doll, but he's an imp with lizard legs and a grub-tail.... I dunno, I guess I just like different resins when the characters aren't human. And even some of the non-human characters are normal skin (Example: an android, a dryad, etc) but in general they tend to be white skin. A few of my planned white skin dolls are demons, mythical creatures, and a ghost\spirit, so for me it makes sense that they'd have white skin. And as far as fantasy resins go.... Meh. I can appreciate them, but I only have one fantasy resin doll (Soom Shonki) and he's the only one I'll EVER have.

TL;DR: I prefer normal skin overall, but sometimes I like white skin, and every once in a while something different.

    20. I am addicted to tan dolls. I can't stop looking at them :fangirl:
