1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Your Dolls in Your Wedding??

Sep 26, 2007

    1. Sorry but BJDs and Bridezilla are two (expensive) things the might not micx, in um, mixed company. Of course I think it depends on your/future spouse's family, if most of your/his/her doesn't know much abut BJDs (or even heard of them!) It might not be a good start to a marrige to bring your girley El to!

    2. It's a fun idea, but for the weirdness the boy and I have planned for our wedding, it'd be a bit too much, and it's already way beyond 'a bit too much'. (Planning for costumes, inclusion of Flash Gordon-style "I will not launch her into space" things tucked into the vows, and so on... ) Plus, as quirky as all of our friends are, I would be too worried about something happening to them.

We will, however, have a spray-painted white Godzilla on the reception table, as a sideways reference to a popular TV series from the 80s, in keeping with the silly sci-fi theme.

    3. I wouldn't have my dolls at my wedding, the only non-human there will be my sweety puppy Yoshi, who will be carried down the aisle <3 I think dolls or any toy at a wedding seems a bit childish, but to each their own ...

    4. That's just way too awesome :D If it were on subject I would ask you to post pics of the wedding here!!

    5. I think there are definitely some fun wedding themed ideas that could be done with bjds--they're so beautiful, afteral. My only fear would be something accidentally happening to them (but there are probably ways around that with some creative planning). However, it would depend on A. my ever getting married--something I've never been in a hurry to do and B. that my future spouse would not be totally weirded out by the idea.

    6. that's a gret idea! i'll definetly bring my dolls along w/ me to my weddings, and get them all dressed up as well! xD

    7. I'm getting married in October and I'd be way too nervous to have any of my dolls in my wedding. I am however, taking a couple of my dolls on my honeymoon. By now my fiance didn't even question it, he just told me I could only take a limited number of them. *L*

    8. Oh god, my fiance's going to kill me if I suggest we work Aidan and Lily in somehow. But Aidan would look absolutely adorable in a little suit or tuxedo, and Lily in a white dress... ^_^;;; Aheheh.

    9. I would! Since most of my friends I would invite I got to know through Dolls.. so they would have to bring their dolls too! If I ever get married though.. haha... and If I do it would probably be to someone who is into dolls too ;)

    10. I should note that while I was going to have a bridesmaid (I've since nixed the idea) I was planning on getting a replica of my bridesmaid's dress made for one of my dolls. It was just going to be something cute for pictures though, not an actual part of the wedding.

    11. my friend is getting married in october. her and her husband both have dolls a girl and boy, the dolls are getting replicas of their wedding attire made and they will be posed next to the cake dancing. :) and half the wedding party has dolls so we might do the brides maids and groomsman too XD as the table card replacements, find your mini. lol.

but this is only at the reception not at the wedding.

    12. My best friend just got married on the 13th, and my first doll Blisdon arrived only two days beforehand. I was going to bring him to the reception, but he didn't have his formal tie yet.

    13. absolutely no..
too many ppl, no way you can control what happens to the "deco"
i don't want them dirty or snatched.

    14. Hehe, no. Dolls to me are a hobby ... I think it'd be a bit strange to have them at my wedding =_=;;

    15. Aww... I think that'd be so cute! I, personally, would love to include my dolls in my wedding (though perhaps only those closest to my heart, like my first doll or a doll with a special story behind it!). I would, of course, have to sew them matching bridesmaid's dresses >.> <.<
However, any wedding I would be getting married in would be far from traditional anyways. XD

    16. I wouldn't plan my BJDs into the theme of my wedding but I'd definitely bring them. It's like having a picture of your dog on your mantel along with the rest of your family. It's not an animate person but you still love it and want it there with you.

    17. im getting married in december and i would not think of bringing them. i would be to busy to be with them . worried somebody would steal them or something.besides all the alcohol and food its all a magnet for trouble. just my opinion :)

    18. oo that's pretty intense right there. nice job with the doll attire.

    19. Props again to Azurielle!! Her dolls ended up being just fine! Not messed with, broken, or stolen! Plus I'm sure her family and friends are respectable enough not to harm the dolls. There shouldn't be any added stress about having them out as decorations. I'd worry about the cake or the expensive candelabras before worrying about the dolls.

    20. my dolls wont be at my wedding, mostly because its going to be quick service (i dont see the piont in spending loads on one day, i'd rather have a better honeymoon instead)

but at least one (probably a MSD or a mini) will be going with me on the honeymoon. just so i can take photos and such.
