Your favorite body sculpt?

This thread will more likely than not, will be merge with one of the old ones (unless they've gotten too large to keep going). Having said that, I can't recall if I ever posted on any of those so here goes; my favorite BJD bodies are the Fairyland Chicline bodies. I far prefer the muscular male one but I like all of them. I like the proportions better than any other existing doll, although they do have a few things that irk me (like the length of the legs, pectorals, hips, and the mass of the trapezius , thick calves etc. on the male bodies), I still feel even to this day that the Chicline bodies are the closest to my ideal doll bodies. The females ones are probably not my ideal, but the proportions are better than other BJD female bodies that are available even today. The only downside is that they are discontinued for good (apparently) and were made a few "scales" too small to share with any of my larger head sculpts. Otherwise I would probably own a few of the male bodies, instead of just one. I don't collect many female BJD, so I would still probably not own one even if they did made them in a larger "scale." I like the aesthetics of the Dollstown's torsos but I don't like the length of the limbs (or how narrow the necks are, but then again, they are sculpted specifically for Dollstown head sculpts, so the stylization fits well with them and not many others).

The limhwa single joint 57cm girl body is probably my favourite in terms of aesthetic! Not so much for posing :P
But if you are looking for a fashion model first, she's your gal! She has some long, shapely legs and very graceful hands!

 

I really love Iplehouse sculpts! I have an SID body on one of my dolls and she's GORGEOUS. She doesn't seem very pose-able though.... might need sueding and/or wires.

 

Gotta be the Dollpamm Neo body. Super curvy with super long legs!

 

For male dolls, I really like Iplehouse's SID Muscle body, Ringdoll's RGMbody-3, and Soom's Idealian 72/75 Male bodies. I'm not into lanky guys. Those male sculpts have a nice thickness to their bodies that I can appreciate. My favorite female bodies are SQ-lab's DG59 and DG61 bodies. I'm a fan of their curves and nice legs are always a plus for me!

 

I'm a big fan of Doll Chateau's entire aesthetic, but their A-04 body is just gorgeous! I definitely hope to own it in future. I also think that Supia's 65cm female body is really pretty, I can't get over the sculpting of the stomach

 

Oh, I quite agree with Dollstown 18yr boy, but honestly?
Let's start with a confession: I am not into muscular guys - my aesthetic is more of skinny, slightly on the "not eating enough" side, adult body (not the typical teenage boy body type), so it might be kind of strange to say that my absolute fav is 28M Dollshe body. I mean, look at it! It's like owning a sculpture of an antient Greek god! It's some classical art that's going on there! The hands and feet details are incredible, the veins and muscle lines on arms and legs are perfect...
And - pardon me for saying that, but we just cannot forget to add - dat ass.

 

Hmmm... I really like the Ariadoll male body

 

Dream Valley B4-03 and B4-04! They're honestly just way out of the league of any other body I've handled, even including my favorite companies Dollzone and Doll Chateau. Sculpting, aesthetic and posing are all ON POINT, there's just nothing I would change about them. I'm sure the SD versions are similar, but I haven't handled them.

Runner up has to be Clover Doll's 1/4 boy body. It's just super cute, and very "holdable". It just has a good hand-feel.

 

Hands down, BlueBlood Doll 62cm boy body!! (And oddly enough, I don't currently own one.) It is an absolutely beautiful body and it poses well. The joints are double jointed, but instead of a peanut or blocky joint, it has a thin piece that reminds me of an armadillo's shell in the way that it allows for more bending, but also covers up the tunnels and strings really well. The body is also a very standard size so anything for SD13 fits it well. It's a great body with an amazing balance in posing, aesthetics, price and proportions. The only downsides are that it isn't sold alone, the dolls tend to be limited, and it is cast in Canadian enviro resin, so it is slightly translucent and doesn't hybrid well.

I also really love bodies by Luts, Doll Chateau and Supia, but BBD stays at the top of my list.

 

Well, my favourite body sculpt has not changed: it's the Impldoll Idol FGB body. For a 70 cm guy, highly flexible, but also stable. I prefer it to their SGB, which has not hip joint. Sure the torso sculpt is nice, but I like also posability.

And I would love to get my hands on a Dollshe David body. It looks fantastic, but the wait times put me off so much. Also, I am doubtful whether to get the basic or the mobility version. This body is just too expensive to try out, so my crew might have to do without a Dollshe guy.

 

Doll Chateau A04. I am so in love with that body because I love my guys both freakishly lanky and broad. And those extra joints... my heart.

Though the DZ NB56-001 might be tied. I have a hybrid I'm crossing my fingers will work for her. She's so tiny and stout and cute it warms my heart. I'll probably buy that body on its own someday and wait for a head to show up I love it so much.

 

For me it has to the Volks SD10 girl body, I know it isn't very "trendy" right now, but I really adore it. Simple lines with delicate details with cute chubby hands. I also really like the one touch system for changing hands and feet. It is not complicated, and just very pleasing to handle, solid and not floppy due to too many joints. For me, there is nothing that comes close!

 

Of the bodies I own, the Ringdoll RMG-02 is my favorite. I just love the graceful yet muscular build and the detailed sculpting, especially on the back. It's got my favorite back of my any doll body by far. I also find the jointing and the posing to be quite smooth and elegant. A close second is the Doll Family-H 65cm body; I might like its aesthetics even better, because it's more slender and the muscles are more delicately sculpted, but mine is strung rather loose and I think needs some sueding to reach its best posing potential.

Of bodies I'd like to own, it seems kind of weird to say this since it just released and nobody has it yet, but I've fallen hard in love with the new Dollzone 68cm body. It is like the perfect blend of everything I want in a male doll body - elegant, lithe, beautifully defined, just perfect for the kind of bishonen characters I like. I hope it bring it home someday. My only wish is that were a little taller, because otherwise it would perfectly suit an existing doll of mine whose body I absolutely hate and need to replace.

 

My favorite is the old original CustomHouse Ai girl body. It's very basic and "doll-like," but there's something I just love about it. Not the best posing body, not the prettiest or most realistic, but the most familiar and comforting to me. I may be a bit sentimental.

 

Yes yes yes! My favorite body ever, not sure I will ever be able to afford it though, and it’s pretty big for me too!

I also really adore Magic Mirror Moira/Maeve/May’s body.
