1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Your last / final doll

Jun 7, 2013

    1. I originally thought that Liz was going to be my "last" doll. NOPE. I'm saving up for FCS right now. Only time will tell if that will be my actual "last" doll.

    2. I wish list (crobidoll, rsdoll ) Even if you will buy up liking dolls if you see never going to stop myself. But I have no other option but to be controlled. The number of settings and settings for a reason why My doll is one of the personality are so subjective personality, because it is to plan the profile and form a new familyBe hard for the efforts. In consideration of the existing settings, and its relationship with dolls that was in the Story You like it'll cost you plenty of the efforts, including a photo for you. Or, to compile a new doll, I did not disburse any more money on is, if I have a doll's clothes, shoes, wigs, eye and make up, props, such as money. You think I will be able to spending. I'm sure that will be actual spending eventually either way.

    3. My last doll is going to be grail doll but since some circumstances doesn't let me to buy my grail doll, if I can, I'm going to make my own grail from scratch and cast it into resin.
But still, I really want to have my grail in my life, as the first and the last wishlist. That is my hope, I think :sweat

    4. I'm getting close to the end of my collection. I have a bunch of floating heads that need bodies, but only two more full dolls needed to shell the last two characters I want in doll form. One of those two I haven't even managed to find a decent sculpt for. I guess for that reason alone, he'll be special because at this point it seems like I'll never find him. Otherwise, though - once I reached the dolls outside my main cast, they've all been pretty equal. I don't imagine the last doll will be any different in that way.

Aside from Nick the Stubborn, I see that I'll probably be done some time near the end next year, including un-floating the floaters. So I feel I can be objective this close to the end of the tunnel.

I did just recently buy a Volks MDD head, so maybe my doll priorities will shift to vinyl dolls after I'm done with the resins. I can't know just yet. I know that, aside from searching for Nick, I don't really look at what's out there these days. Once I find him, I'll probably stop looking at new sculpts altogether. I see no need to. It's only temptation for me.

    5. I have my SD dolls organised. I haven't got them all yet, but once I get the last one (planning in 2015) that will be my SD collection complete. After that I have several Minifees I want to get, those plans are set in stone too. My full dolls will stop at six SDs and five minifees (although that might change to six, as I like my girls to be in "pairs".)

Of course, there are so many beautiful dolls around, so to be able to get all the ones I like I've got a 'floating head' project. This allows me to justify buying all the pretty sculpts (which I see of as more art than characters, which my full dolls are.) It's much cheaper to just buy the heads, and then I can focus on the things I really like (faceups, and I'm planning on trying wig-making.) That project might never finish, but I think of it more as "art collecting" than "doll collecting". I also might buy full dolls occasionally to mod and do projects on (currently have an SD and an MSD waiting to be modded) but again, I think of that as art/projects and not "dolls".

In short: my last doll will be bought when I finish my planned list, but I will keep buying heads and project dolls for as long as I'm in the hobby!

    6. My collection is almost full and I think next year, it will come to the end. I've planned to collect only 9 dolls from beginning and no more because too many dolls will make me feel upset...I can't play attention to everyone equally and that is also not fair for dolls. :) Now I owned 6 dolls. A doll, a head and a body are waiting to be sent out on this summer. And the rest is my last planning doll which I want it to be "She". (I have too many male dolls at home) I still don't have any solid design nor plan but "she" will be my last one!

    7. I said no more last year but that was before I managed to get a Tom Hiddleston MNM head and could finally create my Loki. Then I had to get him a Thor (my IH Claude) and then I found someone selling a Ringdoll Frankenstein 2012 which I have loved for ages. Now they are all home there really is no more that I want. I am selling my Doll-love Brian and that will leave me with 15 dolls and I cannot fit anymore in my room!

    8. I don't know...you never know in life...I will probably stop buying dolls when I have a kid because they will get my full attention or when I finally get all the dolls from my wishlist...it will take a loooooong time =_=

    9. I keep saying it's my last one - but then I see another one I 'need' - it's hopeless trying to be sensible :XD: I think I really enjoy getting a new doll - it's a bit like having a baby - exciting and therefore addictive! I love meeting my new doll, styling it, dressing it, photographing it - But of course I've run out of money now so it's a case of out with the old (if I can bear to part with them) and in with the new, because I don't think there'll ever be a 'last doll' for me until I've had to sell everything I own and am destitute - otherwise I'll scrape the money together somehow! I do feel overwhelmed if I have more than about 16 dolls though - so I try to keep it down to that number, by 'thinning the herd' occasionally. I've got a couple of dolls on my wishlist still - but I doubt either of them will be my last one either - especially since I've now joined the floating head club LOL
