1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Your opinions about hypersexualized dolls or items in DP or other Doll Exhibitions

Jul 19, 2014

    1. Everybody's idea of what constitutes "hypersexualized" is different-- and each venue's attitude towards what constitutes anything even remotely sexualized is different-- so there is no way to enforce things that don't violate a bright-line rule/requirement (for example, exposed genitalia).

We are surrounded every day by things that may make us uncomfortable to look at, but as long as they don't violate the rules of the house, it's up to us to just get over ourselves.

The notion that a Dollfie Dream in a maid's costume, or a boy doll in tight PVC trousers carrying a whip, should be behind an 18+ wall in an open convention area... is just laughable. I just can't see a big event like Dollism Plus getting all Puritan over a little bit of leather or a skimpy skirt, especially considering how many companies like DollHeart are involved in producing it. (Most of my dolls' best leather-and-buckles wear comes from DollHeart, as does their very biggest bullwhip.)

On the money. And squeamish people often use that "think of the children!" argument in place of admitting their own squeamishness. When they don't want to see something, they throw up the smokescreen of being concerned that children might see it, even when the venue/event doesn't involve unaccompanied children.
