Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. My first doll was a Dz fullset Hid the Assassin. He came out a few months after I first got into bjds and I couldn't stop looking at him. I loved everything about the doll and he seemed to be just the right size for me. I still own this little guy and will always have him (even if I have to sell the others). I can't believe he's around 5 now!

    2. I had only seen bjds in books and twice at an anime con. It was all a matter of accessibility. I went to the con one year later, a dealer was there, so I purchased my Resin Soul Lian, a fullset outfit and wigs. I lavished clothing on her the first year but as I became more experienced I have branched way out from her. I still have her but she rarely gets any play time. Lian is 4 now. WOW!

    3. Technically my first doll (in terms of completing payment) is a CD Wong. Even if she is a petdoll, she is still technically going to be my first doll.

      My first human doll is currently waiting on one final layaway payment which is to be made in two weeks time and I am so excited. I chose him for two reasons: because of how much I love the sculpt, and his price. My mindset with BJDs is to not buy a doll unless I have a character fleshed out. I'm taking characters from a OC story I've been writing for on and off for a few years, and I'm starting with the primary characters, this first boy, a IS Valentine, and my grail doll, an Iplehouse Lee.

      Hopefully my planning works.

    6. I changed my mind a million times, in the end I had my heart set on an IH nYID Emilia (she'll be my secondnow though). I found her to fit a specific character.

      But I had been ogling the DollShe boys for a while, then I figured out the deal and worked out that I could afford to put him on layaway since the moment I'd seen him a character had clicked into place and it was sealed the second I decided on his name, Cato. It kind of all slotted together so nicely that he had to come home even though it totally goes against my original plans and decisions. Now I've got one paymet left that should be paid tomorrow :) My boy will be home (hopefully) by March next year.

    8. When I Decided that I wanted to get a BJD (I had no idea what company I liked) Besides I only knew about Luts... & a friend got luts KDF pine. So thats when I decided I wanted one for sure! I've decided on wich one I wanted About 3 or 4 times already..... So far I havn't even gotten My first but.... I will... What I think is the most emportant thing: Is PRICE! (absoulutly price) My favorite kind size is: yoSD!

    9. I had purchased Evangeline ghasley because I liked her story line. I wanted a manly man for her in a hight that was compatable. someone showed me souldoll vito size Lester, and I was kinda hooked, bought him about two weeks later, and I have never regretted it..

    10. I was in love with the Soom line of dolls, but I'd missed most of the ones that I really loved (most notably, Beryl). Then Cuprit was released, and she just had all the right features, and so I jumped at the chance to get her.

      Ironically, during the period I was searching for my ideal first doll, I passed up on Soom's Amber, reasoning she didn't have the qualities I really wanted in a doll. Then later I hugely regretted that decision and spent a long time chasing after her :doh

    11. She was pretty, same reason I bought my second doll too. Aesthetics are the most important to me, I'm a magpie really and love beautiful things so that's what draws me to a doll. I don't have characters I want to shell before buying a doll, I wait until they arrive and then find out who they are.

    12. My first doll will be LUTS Nana! I've always liked LUTS dolls and faces, and was set on a Salgoo! but then Nana came out and as soon as i saw her, i squealed at my screen :3 waiting on her now! She's perfect, adorable, and affordable ^^.

    13. I fell I love. That's all. I knew nothing of the pose ability and flaws of the body. I just found what I wanted. Though it is an SD which I am dreading a little. I would be more comfortable with a smaller size (first doll, hehe).
      But Love decided for me.

    16. Mine was based off mainly on the quality and price on her as well as the seller is my friend so I can trust her handling the mods and the cleanup. I was originally going to get a mature Bobobie Espree Girl in Fair skin. until I saw Emiko (that was her name by the previous owner, I kept her name cause that's the name I will always remember her as) then it changed everything (previous owner got into a fight with my friend and sent her back in pieces and in a plastic bag tossed at the door.

      So now I can give her more love than what her previous owner will ever had. My friend is ecstatic that she is in a happy and loving place right now.

    18. well I saw someone I follow on tumblr update with a picture of their pipos charlotte with a new face-up made to match the limited edition mid summer's night dream they had missed and I fell in love. She was gorgeous! I looked into Pipos some more and finally, for christmas last year, ordered a basic gray pipos charlotte of my own ;v; I'm so glad I did because not only is she gorgeous in person, she's such a good quality doll and a just right beginner's doll in my opinion :) (She's not overly huge, or terribly expensive, she poses fairly well, and she doesn't require buying a whole bunch of clothes and wigs off the bat)

    19. I was very spontan. I had never seen a bjd, but dumped into one in a random blog about something else. My first thougt was: What do they use them til? And like a light in my head, I thought: Photo! Here I am, I cant make pictures of people but I love making photos and was tired of the buildings. And I wantet to start at once, so I searched the norwegian bjd forum and found a used Asleep Eidelon, 42 cm tall, girl. She looked like she could pose good, and I got her in a few days after. She just looked new to the world. New to my world, when she came. I hold her carefully and gave her all my love and all my photograpfy tekniks. This week, I sold her to a yunger woman that should have her first real bjd msd. I hope she will give that woman as much that she gave me. Merry christmas!
