Your thoughts on fur wigs?

I love the how many options fur wigs give, from wild and spiky, to smooth and styled, to a mix of both. With most fiber wigs you are pretty much stuck with the style they are in. A few rare ones can be styled without being cut. That said of my ten, soon to be eleven, dolls only two wear fur wigs. The rest wear fiber but a few of them are fiber wigs I have cut and styled to look closer to what I want them to.

 

I like fur wigs well enough and think they're beautiful on other people's dolls but they're just too difficult to work with. I can never get them to stay on and I always accidentally touch and mess up my styles.

 

I feel like fur wigs have a lot more volume to them than anything synthetic. I love the basic textures fur wigs have too, the're not quite straight and they look more natural to me.

 

IMHO, fur wigs look good on guy bjds. Sometimes, typical wigs on boys can make them appear very "doll like."

 

I like both, so far I only have "real" wigs... I like fur ones, and I might get one, but it has to be faux fur. I don't really want anything to do with real leather or fur

 

I'm really not a fan of fur wigs, I don't like the bulkyness to them, I think for short hair they look kind of alright. I probably would never buy one for a girl, but for a boy I might give it a go.

 

I am another "it looks good on other peoples' dolls" kind of person. Right now two of my own dolls have fur wigs, but I am not very fond of them and I am thinking of switching them out... which I HATE the thought of at the same time as my wolf girl has a matching wig and tail... but she looks so boyish in it!

 

I've seen dolls with fur wigs that I've thought looked very nice, but I really just don't like fur wigs. I would never have them for myself.

 

I actually just got in my second fur wig today. I love it because I can easily style it without actually using styling tools, just my hands. The doll I've been saving for will get a fur wig. I think they're beautiful.

 

I think it really depends on the personality of the doll, and the quality of the fur / sewing on the fur wig.

I have seen some pretty awful fur wigs XD but i make them myself for my doll and I can't imagine my Juju in anything but fur type wigs!

 

@Lithe-Fider: My Chaeri wants to mug your doll for her wig now. It's absolutely gorgeous.

 

I prefer fur wigs simply for the ease of styling. My first non-fur wig was frustrating to style, I ended up cutting it to reshape and it still was a mess. It would be nice to own a nice non-fur wig in the future though, I probably need to learn how to style them and where to buy but, for now I'm all for fur wigs.

 

My first doll wig was a fur wig and so was my second. They are both still wearing them. I'm kind of indifferent about them. I like the way they look on the dolls that I have that are wearing fur wigs, but I have no wish to buy more. But I will say that they style much better than fiber wigs. And I don't even need a brush to smooth it out, I just use my fingers.

 

I have a couple of fur wigs for fun, but prefer real-looking as permanent choice for my dolls. This is different for every individual, and thats why we have so many choices! We are not supposed to like all the same things

 

At first I really didn't like fur wigs, maybe because they weren't what I was looking for. But lately I found many wig really well done and even bought one. It was cheap but it look really good and so soft.

 

I love fur wigs! I tried putting my bjds only in fibre wigs (my Hujoos always wore fur) but couldn't find one that looked right on Dean. So I gave in and bought him a dark brown fur wig, which looks perfect. But it also looks adorable n Pond, so now I have to get her one of her own.

 

Not a fan of fur wigs. I like mohair.

 

I like them quite much
4 of my guys have fur wigs. They fit their personalities. I can't imagine my guys with "normal" hair. Some dolls are just fur types others are fiber/mohair/other types.
And on top of that they are easy to style/handle, don't fray, don't have stray/flyaway hairs...
But finding the right one can be a challenge as I am currently experiencing.

 

I like fur wigs because it's so soft and easy to style . Some fur wigs look cool too

 

Most of the time it just makes me feel like some troll hair was stolen. I don't really like it.
On rare occassion there are some fur wigs that look good, but for the most part I just don't like them.
