1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Zombie Tinies - Bad Taste?

Mar 9, 2010

    1. Sounds great to me! (I love little zombie children! :D)
My only thought to this is that it might be wise to change hair/eye color to make her seem less like that little girl.
Or maybe put her in princess dresses (or maybe lolita clothing)? It'll still retain the cuteness and lose the resemblance to the young girl.

    2. I don't see how this is tasteless. If done correctly with enough talent and effort, I think it would look amazing.

    3. I agree so, so much. I've never understood the rampant adoration of zombies, vampires, etc. I do tend to be a bit of a "girly-girl", but to me, the glamorization of death and decay is simply disturbing, and nearly always in bad taste. There are so many creative things you can do with dolls that don't involve something creepy. Then again, it is your doll, no one can really forbid you to do it. I just don't find it appealing, and really would hate to see some mutilated, "rotting" doll photos in someone's photo gallery.

(No offense is meant to anyone who adores zombies, vampires, and the like. This is just my own personal view!)

    4. While I wouldn't want a zombie in my personal collection (not against them, just not my thing), I don't get why it's so taboo to some. Death is a natural part of life, everything that lives eventually dies, why is it so "wrong" or "gross"? I think some people are too sensitive over something that's inevitable. Art tends to reflect life, from pre-birth to old age, why should the last step be avoided?

As for a zombie child? Personally, if there ever WAS a zombie apocalypse, I highly doubt zombies are going to "think of the children" and only get the adults.....so as far as "realistic" can go with zombies, I see no reason why there wouldn't be zombie kids or why they shouldn't be depicted as dolls.
