Props are items that complement or are used in a scene, background, or the doll itself to add to it's detail. Props are slightly vague in description since it can be considered an accessory for a doll/outfit or something added to a "room" or scenery, depending on the prop itself and how it's used. Some examples of what would be considered "purely" props are (note these refer to miniatures generally): greenery (trees, shrubs, etc.), housing/houses (not considered a "furniture"), etc.

"Accessory" Props are props that can be used on or with the doll or outfit, but are not normally a "part" of it. Like an instrument, cards, dishware, etc. "Furnishing" Props are props that complement furniture or a scene, such as pictures (with or without frames), vases, lamps, etc. Of course, sometimes the two can be interchangeable and in some cases, depending on a person's point of view, a prop is not much different than an accessory or furniture.
