I am her original owner. I purchased her from Denver Doll Emporium.

Reason for choice:

Mice and rats are my favorite animals and purple is my favorite color. The second I became aware that she existed, she was mine.

Best Points:

Her faceplate system makes changing her eyes in and out really easy in comparison to certain other tiny dolls I have that utilize a head cap system. She also poses really, really well for a single-jointed doll. None of her joints (ankle, knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, and wrist) are particularly kicky, and I've never needed to suede her to get her to do what I want.

Worst Points:

She doesn't have an S-hook in her head/above her neck, just knotted elastic, which can be a massive pain if I need to remove her head entirely to put jewelry on or something. Her neck joint is also finicky. I often find myself having to fight with it to get it to stay in an upward/straight/angled position that isn't staring down towards the floor.

Name story:

I really didn't put much into it. I wanted to use a name that was related to the color purple, and since I was already using Violet, Violetta, and related names for other things, I started looking at other flower names and settled on Iris, because it was simple, cute, and irises are generally purple.

Iris is the bubbly, adventurous type. She's always first to leap into the thick of things, even if she has no idea where it may lead. She's a very playful little girl, who's always willing to dance, play pretend, or even just bounce off the walls in a raw burst of energy. She makes friends pretty easily, but her mother hen of a best friend, Hannah, and little sister, Apple, are the most important people to her. Her favorite foods include fruit and sweet things, while her least favorite foods include anything that's bitter. She tends to leave everything a mess in her wake and doesn't seem to bother much with precision or neatness unless someone is nagging and forcing her to. Most people consider her a bright spot in their life/day, though there are definitely a few grumps out there who are merely incensed by her antics.
