((Maddie is one of my "City of Chibis" dolls... a five year-old kid/chibi version of Madison, Shonokin's shadowy spirit Familiar.))

Summoned up by the inhuman magic of the boy's father and bound to him when he was barely an hour old, Maddie's job is to keep Clyde out of trouble and out of danger... Something much easier said than done, even for a creature as clever as a mountain Shade.

A skilled shape-changer, she spends much of her time in the form of a disturbingly large, black spider (Typically perched precariously on the top of Clyde's battered old hat-). She's also been known to disguise herself as a playful wolf pup and as a suspiciously harmless-looking black chicken... and to pretend to be an absolutely terrifying, glowing-eyed haint when the occasion called for it.
