1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Robbie M Cairach

Maker:
Volks
Head Sculpt:
School Head C
Skintone:
Normalskin
Body:
SD10 Boy solid (unjointed) torso.
Sex:
Male
  • Face-up artist(s):
    Osaka
    Tattoo artist(s):
    Joint venture between Osaka and myself. Tattoos were temp tattoos, sealed carefully.
    Date of acquisition:
    Head was June 11th, 2008, body was Feb. 14th, 2013.
    Provenance:
    Osaka picked up my School head C at New York Dolpa in 2008, and I purchased the body from a seller here on Den of Angels, Bril33.
    Reason for choice:
    I knew I wanted a School C, and I felt that out of all the options at the time, it was the closest in aesthetic to me, and since Robbie is an Alternate Universe self doll, that was important.
    Best Points:
    I love how solidly he stands, and how well the Volks body can hold a pose even if the stringing is a bit lose.
    Worst Points:
    The non-jointed torso is a literal pain to string. I think I swore more while re-stringing and assembling Robbie than I have at any other time of my life. Pinched fingers, elastic and resin flying, it was just awful.
    Robbie has three tattoos representing the three that I have currently. He is painted to resemble a young twenty-something me, and appears short and slender in contrast to my stockier build. I was slender as a child and teen, and Robbie fits that profile well.
  • Eyes:
    16mm Mint on Card Hypnotic EK04
    Wig:
    Leeke 8/9 something in brown.
    Favourite colours:
    Green, Grey, Brown
    Fashion style(s):
    Everyday casual, stylish but comfortable.
    Robbie doesn't own a ton of clothes, but I have picked up some different outfit pieces here and there, and sewn him some things, knitted some things. He is beginning to show more of a distinct style, but I'm not sure the name of it.
  • Name story:
    I wanted him to have a similar name with the same initials but not my exact name, so I went with Robbie Math Ciarach. I don't think Robbie is short for anything but if it is, I haven't determined what. He's not a Robert.
    Character age:
    Early twenties.
    Character gender:
    Male (mild intersex disorder)
    Offsite roleplay:
    This doll's character is not available for offsite roleplay.
    Robbie is a mostly single father. He has one son, Christopher Owen, who resembles the mother, but is not in the picture. Currently Robbie is partnered with Marek, but I am not pleased with the proportions of the sculpt I chose for Marek next to Robbie, at least in regards to their heads, so I am looking for a different fit. Robbie works from home, and writes children's stories with the theme being LGBT friendly books. The first in the series was "Christopher Owen has two Daddies".
