1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

☆~~ Granado Doll Discussion Part 18 ~~☆

Oct 22, 2019

    1. @VampireAngel13 - I like what you did. You're brave. I'd worry about the dye showing up where I sanded. Would love to see him finished.

    2. I'll just leave this here

I wouldn't call it brave so much as hopeful. I've already got plans for when the dye doesn't work (which mostly involve me removing it the best I can and blushing the head to match - which I'm 100% sure I can do). I have polishing sand paper, so i'm hoping that will be enough to even him out and make the dye work.

      So everyone cross your fingers.

    3. @VampireAngel13 omg LUKE :D I love your mod projects and I already can't wait to see your boy finished :XD:

    4. @kagami thank you!! I really hope this works out...My trying to make a LS doll is what led me to making DC dolls in a really roundabout way XD so I've been wanting to do this for a while!

    5. @VampireAngel13 Fingers are crossed but I know you can do it! May the force be with you!!
      An-tis-aaaa-pationnnnnn ;)

    6. What they all said! Considering your Joker crew, this s/b brilliant. And I see now why you rounded the jawline out.

    7. I hope so!! :D and thank you!

Yeah some of that jaw was too much for Sebastian Stan even XD it had to go. I still think I could straighten what I have out a little, but at least now when I look at him, I can finally see Mark Hamill instead of Uriel lol
I knew he was there somewhere, thank you weirdos on the internet!!

    8. Stephie's and Wesley's heads are in house! Yay! Now...I have to wait for the bodies from Granado and have NO IDEA when I might see them, thanks the the Adagio70.I can't even really do much with the faceups until I have the bodies so I can color match. Sigh...

    9. Dang it, I stopped getting notifications for this thread again!
Anyway, I wanted to set I did manage to submit my photos the day before, but they're certainly not going to win any prizes. Unless there's a Most-Consistent-Entry-of-One-Doll prize.

    10. I got my entries in for the first time ever. I don't expect to win anything either but I'm quite pleased with how the photos turned out. And it gave me an excuse to get the heck out of the house (Ontario is STILL in a lockdown since... mid-April).

    11. Is there any way to view the entries?

    12. I think the entries will be posted to the Granado site once they make their choices.

    13. I was hoping to get to see all the entries. The past years seem only to show a handful. Kinda disappointing. But good luck to all who submitted! Maybe once the judging is done you wouldn't mind posting them here? Would love to see them.

    14. They said they hadn't gotten a lot of entries this year but they might've gotten a flurry of entries after they posted that?

    15. They posted them all here after the winners were announced. I won in the props category in 2019. It was fun to try again even if I don't win. BUT I really want to win.

    16. I do like that Claudio is on top of the photos on that page! That's a win in my books! :D

    17. My problem is I only have Granado heads!

    18. I believe they have a hybrid category for their photo contest.
I've had a Granado head (Jaden) in a box for years because the artist who makes the body I want for her is such a PITA to order from. But I remember making note of the hybrid category because once she's all together Phiahn is going to amazing (imo, lol)

    19. @Girrl I had no idea! Thanks! Maybe next year!

    20. Hey everyone! I'm still putting together my Uriel, and I'm having trouble finding the right eye size for him. A 5mm iris looks too big and soft for the character I have in mind (Bucky Barnes), so I'll have to go down a bit in size... The trouble is, how much smaller should I go? 4mm or 4.5mm? I'd like a more intense look for him.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Unless I buy some cheap eyes with a 4mm or 4.5mm iris, then go up or down in size for the final eyes, depending on how they do.
