1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

1/1 scale (147cm) "Dollche 910" ABJD

Feb 2, 2009

    1. I can't help thinking it would be cool to have her as the outer shell of a robotics system :P Build my own maid ;P One that's happy to clean of course ...

    2. wow...if I have a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG home and a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of extra money.... I'd definetly try to buy one by second-hand i-i .....Imagine her in pretty dresses and luxurious kimonos *_* ....and then she would live in my BJD's room (because I'd definetly have one! XP )

    3. Oh wow! I love the idea, but personally, I wouldn't buy it XD probably because I've seen ball-jointed mannequins in France, and she would remind me too much of that! Lol!!

    4. There has been a doll produced that was similar to what you're describing (ironically, she was a Chii doll). She was made by a company called "Papermoon," and unlike the Dollche 910 she was not an actual ball-jointed doll (especially as defined by the rules of DoA), but she was pretty cool. The Papermoon dolls are off-topic for this forum.

    5. That is so cool!!!! I would love to have a life sized BJD - one time I had a dream that I found a life-sized Luts Soony (my favorite doll), she was actually the same size as me and I was buying her *sigh* I wish!! Pity these dolls aren't available anymore. Although she's too short to wear any of my clothes (I'm 173cm tall), so I guess it's just as well :P But if they ever made one that was around the same size as me, I'd buy her, and then I'd buy myself a bunch of cool costumes that I've been wanting, and she could wear them. Oh man, now I really want to do that!! I'd probably be completely broke if I did, but it would be so fun! :fangirl:

    6. i think she was discontinued because of the weight. thats what ive heard

    7. Really? I was under the impression she was discontinued because the company marketed her to silicone sex-doll collectors, not ABJD collectors, and so she didn't sell well, since the sex-doll collectors had little to no interest in her (seeing as she was...you know...not a sex doll).

    8. I can imagine she wasn't a big seller on that market. I mean, you think it hurts when a 1/3 doll pinches you... If you were to fling that thing around for less noble purposes I can only imagine the injuries. But I would love a doll that size. I make alot of costumes and such and I can see her lounging in this old, high-back chair my S.O. got at an estate sale.

    9. O.O wow that pretty big
be really great for art thats for sure
and awesome if you love to make clothes for people
:D though i dont know what i would do if i got her .___.'

    10. WOW she is HUGE! I don't know if I would buy her. She's just a LITTLE bit big. I mean I like the larger dolls but hrmmmm.... can you imagine how heavy she would be!

    11. I would love to have one but she would have to stay in another part of the house....she would scare me ;)

    12. OMG, never thought there are 1/1 dolls xDDDDDD well, i don't like her >.<

    13. She's the same height as me. Hahah!

The novelty is amusing - but she kind of defeats the purpose of BJDs in the first place. At that size I'd be expecting an exponential amount more detail in the sculpt, but she just looks like a regular BJD just blown up with no extra detailing.

    14. OMG, I laughed so hard I almost wet myself, LOL!!!!

I actually have life sized dolls, called son and daughters ;) While young enough, they're quite fun to find cute clothing for, but unfortunately, they don't age well. They start to talk back, won't wear cute outfits you buy them and become on the whole rather ornery. But for the first 10 years or so, they're really quite lovely! LOL

    15. Dolls; they're cute unless they're the same size as you--then they're monsters! She can hide under my bed! She'd fit right in! Hahaha!

    16. Wow.

      I REALLY want one!

      OMG!

    17. IngieBee - you are hillarious:p
I would love one, and a male one to go with her, I'm pretty strong (all the farm work) so I'm pretty sure I could lug her around as much as I need to, I don't think my partner would be too happy about it though, I'm sure I would be in for some serious eye rolling and sideways looks for that one, my sister would love it though. I'm all for life sized dolls, I think it would be so much fun to have dolls that could wear your clothes, but look awesome in them. I own a couple of mannequins which come in handy for all sorts of things, from christmas time porch nativity scenes, to modelling clothing when I make something and want to take pictures of it.
I wonder where they could be found second hand?

    18. Woah... They must cost a ton. I don't like the shape of her eyes and nose but she is pretty cool and yet really freaky .

    19. I can't imagine the shipping... and from overseas...

I'd have liked to see face-ups on this doll.
      And male ones!
      Oh well. :<

    20. I really wonder how much she costs now, being discontinued...
      $4000 before... and then...?
