1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

1/3 scale swords

Jan 17, 2007

    1. I use blu-tack and other similar types of putty to stick the sword in my boys' hands. If their fingers are shaped to hold a sword, though, that's good. I've heard that jointed fingers can hold a sword if it's not too heavy.

For sword sheaths and harnesses, I think you'd either have to make one yourself or commission someone to make it for you.

    2. hm those iplehouse sword dance dolls got a very nice sheath, but its way too expensive for me..someone here is selling the swords with sheath for 80 usd..thanks for your info :)

    3. The Doyusha model kits are a pretty good size for the SD sized dolls, better scale than the letter openers. They are kits, though, so you have to assemble them. You do get swords, sheaths and the display rack. The blades are very shiny, and since the kit is all plastic, there is very little weight to them.

      katana blade - 8.5 inches (21.5cm)
      katana overall - 12 inches (30.5cm)
      wakizashi blade - 5.75 inches (14.5cm)
      wakizashi overall - 8.5 inches (21.5cm)

Sorry I have no pics, I haven't put mine together yet. But someone at DoA has posted their EID guy with one. http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=305497&highlight=doyusha
