    1. For me, poseability is always the main thing, because I want to see them sit as natural as they can. And humans rarely sit straight. :D for example I love how Dollshe sits, bit slouching. And the joints doesn't bother me at all. There are joints in dolls so I don't mind at all if there are couple more than "normally" if it helps the poseability.

    2. Which type of Body type do you prefer?
Mostly two piece torso for me with the joint either high or in the middle and three-part on occasion.

For what reasons? Aesthetic, mobility, simple preference.

Most three-piece's lower joint is pretty useless, so unless it's really good and allows for a lot of mobility it's a needless aesthetic con. Otherwise, two-piece torsos, especially ones with their joint towards the middle pose wonderfully and allow a wide range of bending forward and backward.

What do you feel are the pros and cons of each type?
One-piece looks great but offers no mobility.
Two-piece offer a great mobility range while still looking good. The only con I can attribute them is the break in the middle that might be an aesthetic bother to some.
The three-piece, unless done correctly, suffers from mobility loss all around (most three-piece bodies slouch and bend backwards a lot less than two-piece torsos with a midsection joint) plus an aesthetic loss due to more joints being visible. When indeed executed correctly, as in Doll Leaves' or Loongsoul's case for example, they offer an excellent range of mobility that can satisfy even the most demanding people that are looking for the absolute, most poseable doll.

    3. Which type of Body type do you prefer?
Two-piece torso with an upper torso joint (either at the ribs, or the under-boob one that's currently fashionable)

For what reasons? Aesthetic, mobility, simple preference.
Honestly, it's both aesthetic and mobility. I've owned a bunch of dolls from different companies, and the upper torso joint has consistently proved to be the most effective when it comes to posing, and not all that unattractive either - a break at the ribs or under the bust is really quite natural in my opinion (I know a bend in this area is technically not natural when engaged, but a bit of clothing is all that's necessary to obscure the problem).

What do you feel are the pros and cons of each type?
Single piece - honestly, I don't think there are any pros. Yeah I know, single piece means the "line of the body is unbroken", but if I seriously wanted to buy something with an unbroken body line, I'd get a figurine or a statue. Dolls are for posing.
Two-piece, lower joint - Errr... if done correctly, this should theoretically increase mobility. In my experience however, this joint's range is easily negated by any kind of lower body clothing, and kind of ends up looking like a useless perma-diaper.
Two-piece, upper joint - increases mobility without too much sacrifice in aesthetics. The con is - yeah, there's a joint. But IMO there's not really much you can do about that, owning a ball-jointed doll.
Three-piece - I'm going to say this is three piece +, because there is a number of dolls out there with more than three pieces in their torsos. If made and strung correctly, this can produce some amazing range of motion... at the cost of looking like an arthropod.

    4. My preference is the two piece torso. Most of my dolls have a two piece torso and I like the aesthetic and mobility of it. My Latidoll boy has a one piece torso, and while it is beautiful he just looks rather stiff.

    5. Which type of Body type do you prefer?
I prefer a 3 piece torso. Although I think a 2 with the high chest joint or no/joint at all is the most aesthetically nice for realism especially if the sculptor did a fabulous job on the body. It's nice see it unbroken.
For what reasons? Aesthetic, mobility, simple preference.
I like the 3 piece for mobility. My dolls are a mix of 2 & 3 joints types though.
What do you feel are the pros and cons of each type?
Well mobility is awesome on the 3 joint bodies but sometimes they can have too many moving parts so to speak depending on how they are engineered. And the 2 joint bodies can have awesome mobility but sometimes can look stiff, that said my 2 joint bodies stand sit on command with minimal fussing.

    6. Which type of Body type do you prefer?
I generally prefer 3 piece torsos, and a good portion of my dolls have them. I don't mind 2 piece torsos, if the mobility's good, and I've avoided buying 1 piece torsos because they just feel too rigid for me.

For what reasons? Aesthetic, mobility, simple preference.
Mobility, definitely, is the biggest reason for me! I like being able to have my dolls slouch, lean, shift, and otherwise sit naturally, rather than like they're stuffed in a corset or sitting rigidly at attention. I don't have any more problems with joints in the torso aesthetically than I do with the joints in the arms or legs, either; they're dolls, they have joints, it's just part of the look, and well-engineered torso joints still look nice.

What do you feel are the pros and cons of each type?
For 3 part, mobility is definitely a pro! Though it can have the trade-off of making them a little trickier to balance sometimes, if they're particularly mobile, I feel the tradeoff of more natural posing is worthwhile. Two piece high also has decent mobility without quite the same level of fussiness, and is a good tradeoff between them. I've had bad luck with mobility in 2 piece low bodies, but I'm sure there are some that are better engineered than the one I have that may as well be a one-piece for as little range of motion has been engineered into it. One piece look very nice, but I just can't do the lack of motion for them. Unless I had a very proper Victorian lady or gentleman who would always sit perfectly erect, I don't think I'd buy any doll with that type of torso.

    7. I prefer mobility on my dolls and 3 piece torso has been a huge plus when looking at new dolls.
Still, I look at the overall look of the bodies and if the anatomy in general is um.. horrible, then not even the 3 part torso is able to save it.
If I have to take a 2 part torso (no, I don't even consider 1 part torsos!), then I prefer the joint to be under the ribs (= lover than under breasts, higher than hips) since to me, it's the most natural place to have the joint :)

    8. I prefer the poseability of a 3 piece torso the best. I do like the 2-piece torso of my Dollshe - it looks really, really nice. Same can be said of the one-piece torso I've seen (I think it was Spiritdoll). It looks absolutely amazing, but making it sit realistically was literally impossible.

Also, all of my dolls are basically all clothed all the time - any prettiness of the torso kind of doesn't matter when you can't see it. And as well, I always hot glue suede all of my dolls, no matter how well they pose without it. That way when I pick them up, they are all nice and solid.
